We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Telle Kouture a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Telle, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful, you must first have faith. Having faith will take you places that fear could never. Fear is definitely something that can hinder growth and I’ve seen it happen to people many times. You have to stay out of your own way. Believing & continuously manifesting great things is also highly important. Being passionate comes next. I personally feel that when you are passionate about your craft you will give it your all. Your passion will keep you going no matter what and you will appreciate the work that comes with the journey. Hard work most definitely pays off when you are consistent. Just showing up speaks volume. Often, people want overnight success and when they don’t get that, they give up. The experience is apart of the journey so motion is better than being stagnant. Celebrate small wins just like the big ones because success has no limit. It’s real, it’s there & anything you want is attainable.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Telle Kouture. I’m a creative director, wardrobe stylist & beauty influencer. I naturally got into my industry by doing things I love. My craft pretty much got ahead of me & paved the way for my dreams. My dreams are my actual reality. I enjoy offering my services to others as I help them boost their confidence, grow and reach their full potential. What sets me apart from the rest is that I’m only in competition with yesterday’s me. I strive daily to become a better version of myself. I don’t view others as competition because their not in my race. To be honest, it’s a marathon, my marathon! I stay focused and in my lane. I move with passion and love. My clients and followers feel that and gravitate towards me. I’m so thankful for my supporters. My work speaks for itself and I’ve made amazing business connections over the years.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience on social media by being authentic & sharing my lifestyle. My platform exemplifies exactly who I am. I give the public just enough to get a dose of my world without sharing too much. The pieces of me and my business are there. My supporters love when I’m in tune with them. The advice I would give someone starting to build their social presence is to be yourself. Find your niche yes, but be authentic. Remember to engage with others and show them love also so that it’s a no brainer when it comes to you. Post quality, intriguing content & be consistent.

Have you ever had to pivot?
A time where I had to pivot was during the the pandemic. When Covid-19 came around it totally shifted things for us. The world was in shambles and everything seemed awkward. With my lifestyle & business, networking and being around others plays a huge role. With the world shutting down and social distancing taking lead, I had to stay afloat still with my craft. At a time where many people got lazy, discouraged, etc, I went into overdrive. I never hit the brakes. I made the impossible very possible. I pushed a completely different narrative in my own world. Although many things had to get done virtually for some time, I still got them done. I made stronger connections and had even more time to take my creative mind to another level.
