We recently connected with Teesha Prieto and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Teesha, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
In the depths of life’s shadows, I stumbled upon the radiant beacon of art. A journey that began with pen and paper, etching poetry since the tender age of seven, burgeoned into a profound love affair with canvas and the captivating dimensions of 3D art. It was at the age of 23 that I unearthed this new realm of creativity, a transformative discovery that illuminated the darkest corners of my existence.
Art became my sanctuary, a sanctuary where my soul found solace and my spirit found liberation. Through strokes of paint and sculpted forms, I wove the threads of my emotions into a tapestry of expression, transcending the confines of language. Each piece, an ode to the triumph of light over darkness, served as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
Guided by the lyrical cadence of my poetry, I charted a course towards a future imbued with boundless artistic endeavors. With every brushstroke, I endeavor to seamlessly merge the realms of visual art and storytelling, crafting immersive experiences that resonate with the depths of the human experience. My vision extends beyond the confines of traditional galleries, as I aspire to curate art exhibits, visual films, and creative directions that serve as a testament to the transformative power of artistic expression.
For me, the essence of art lies not in its form or medium, but in its ability to encapsulate the ineffable essence of human emotion. My creativity knows no bounds, for as long as it serves as a vessel for the emotions that stir within me, I am bound to this calling. I stand firm in the belief that this is not merely what I do, but who I am—an artist, called to illuminate the world with the radiant hues of my soul.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
**Bio:**
In a world that often feels like it’s lost touch with the essence of our humanity, I see myself as a gentle reminder—an ambassador of authenticity, if you will. My purpose? Simply to make everyone around me *feel*. Amidst a generation that sometimes feels alienated from our own personal experiences, I strive to be a beacon of reassurance, whispering softly that it’s okay to just *be*.
Art, for me, is more than just strokes on a canvas or shapes in clay. It’s the raw expression of thoughts and emotions that I’ve long kept hidden within. Opening up and showing this vulnerability to the world hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve come to realize that my art transcends the confines of my own being. It’s a gift—an offering to the world, a way of giving back.
Art, after all, is the universal language that connects us all. Each piece carries within it the potential for infinite interpretations, as diverse as the souls who gaze upon it. I’m constantly humbled by the realization that my creations can evoke such varied responses, weaving a tapestry of shared experiences that bind us together.
As I embark on this journey of creativity, I’m filled with anticipation for where it will lead me. With every brushstroke, every creation, I venture into uncharted territories, eager to explore the myriad avenues of expression that lie before me. And through it all, I remain ever grateful for the opportunity to touch hearts and souls with the power of art.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
When seeking inspiration, I find solace in visiting museums, art galleries, or observing fellow artists at work behind the scenes. One documentary that particularly resonates with me is “Exit Through the Gift Shop” by Mr. Brainwash. His portrayal of art as boundless expression instills in me the confidence to fearlessly create without limitations.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I find it fascinating to hear diverse perspectives and opinions about my art. Rather than dictating what my artwork means, I relish in listening to the interpretations of others, recognizing that there are no absolute right or wrong answers.
