Alright, Tayzha “Mama T” thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

This year I’ve started my most meaningful project, called Conversations for Collective with Mama T. It’s a podcast available on my YouTube channel @4thecollectivewithmamat. I have been so blessed to have had many different conversations throughout my spiritual journey, that have expanded and challenged my mindset in a beautiful way. I’m a talker, a truth teller, and to be able to use my platform to give back to my community just fills my cup. With my podcast, I am sharing these expansive conversations with the world. Intentionally not gate keeping the secrets the practitioners use to get by, and to feel whole and happy. One question I always ask the guest about is if they’ve found their life’s purpose. These conversations really pull a lot of insight and wisdom to real, everyday life of amazing people whom I consider “awake”. It aired January 17,2025, with a new episode each month. I love being able to connect past the tarot cards with the people who inspire me, to share with my community.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Tayzha Collier, but otherwise known as Mama T. I am a tarot reader and spiritual advisor, and I run a social media platform as well. I started on TikTok in 2021 , and it has grown to a few thousand followers since then. I do work full time, but my passion is helping people. I’ve been channeling advice from my higher-self and spirit team my whole life, but it wasn’t until I got older that I realized what was actually going on. Now, that I have worked on expanding my gifts, I offer sessions to medium conversations through tarot cards and other divination tools from my client’s spiritual team to them. Anyone can request a reading, and I accept tips and donations in return, but I don’t charge for them. I never want money to be a reason why someone can’t get a message they may really need.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn that social is a “exclusive club”. Sometimes when starting to put yourself out there on the internet you compare yourself to all the other creators that have put in so much work. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and there is a place for everyone. It’s difficult to grasp when you see likes and views, but when you’re just having fun and doing what you love, the numbers will come.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Consistency. Consistency is the key to building any kind of audience or community. I myself have watched my numbers fluctuate when I stop posting every day or every other day. You really have to nurture the relationship you have with your audience and give it the attention it needs and it will surprise you how much it will grow! It only takes one video to go viral, but to build community takes consistency.
