We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Taylor Winstead. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Taylor below.
Taylor , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always been passionate about supporting and giving back to 1st Respondets & Military personnel. I started a boutique years ago and while I had a blast, it just was not fulfilling to me. One night while trying to figure out what to do, I had this idea to start a clothing line that would help give back to those that are often times overlooked. 1 of my bestfriends growing up, I referred to as my bodyguard (BG for short) he was in the military at the time and I knew I wanted him incorporated in some way, so I came up with the name Battle Gritt (BG). It has been amazing to meet so many amazing men and women who protect and serve not only our community but our country as well.

Taylor , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
From a very young age it seemed like almost everyone I was meeting was either in the Military or a First Responder. Then when I was 9, my dad passed away and Cops. Detectives, Case Workers were everywhere. There was a cop, her name was Lisa. She was an actual Angel on Earth. She made me forget that my life was just changed forever. I knew then I wanted to give back. All Of our Designs are geared towards Military and First Responders and every month we give back to different organizations benefiting them as well

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of Mouth and getting out and about in the Community.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
For a long time I was pulling doubles as a Server and Bartending to put money back into Battle Gritt.
