We were lucky to catch up with Taylor Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
The most innovative thing I have done in my career was starting my own practice. I had an idea in my head of a modern practice tailored to meet the needs of modern business owners and I knew I could make it happen.
I began my career in litigation and it was clear that I could better serve business owners by providing proactive legal services, as opposed to reactive litigation services. I knew I needed to make legal services accessible, approachable, and understandable. I knew I needed to provide an alternative to the stuffy, old school law firm.
So, I spent months creating, innovating, and building a modern practice designed to provide modern business owners with the best legal experience possible. It has been the most innovative thing I have done in my career and I am so glad I did it!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a Colorado-licensed and Colorado-based business and trademark attorney. I help business owners protect their brands through contracts, trademark registration, and IP protection.
In my practice, I do things differently. Businesses are evolving and so is the practice of law. I have tailored the practice of law to meet the needs of the modern-day business owner. My goal is to make the legal accessible and approachable– a departure from the “old school” practice of law that I felt many business owners dreaded having to deal with.
I work with a wide range of business owners, including coaches, real estate professionals, tattoo artists and studio owners, jewelers, apparel companies, and more. I absolutely love what I do.
This year, I was selected to the 2022 Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Social media helped me build a presence, but what really helped me build my reputation within my practice was (and is) going above and beyond for my clients. I advocate for each and every one of my clients zealously and will do everything to make sure that their experience with me exceeds their expectations. Having happy clients is such a powerful way to build your reputation.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I started my social media, specifically my Instagram, just after law school, while I waited for my bar results. I started posting informational and educational content and found that people enjoyed the content. I was teaching people things they did not necessarily know or think about and I found that people enjoyed that content.
I have also always been consistent. I consistently post, consistently engage, and consistently show up. With that, I consistently see my audience grow. My advice is to not only be consistent, but to provide value. You can share your knowledge in an informative way that shows your audience how and why they need your products and your services and your audience will grow naturally.
