We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Taylor Welch a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Taylor thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
One of the most important factors in creating the eve. experience was that every woman who walks through the door feels welcome. Knowing each woman by name and on a deeper lever is important to me in order to support that person as much as I can on their journey. As we have grown to over 300 clients in the last couple of months, I can honestly say that I have connected with each woman and continue to keep this genuine aspect of the business alive.

Taylor , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For the last decade, health and wellness have been my core passions. Over the years, I have built my own brand styled towards empowering women and helping them realize their full personal potential. My approach to achieving results is fashioned by intentional focus and commitment to both mental and physical well-being.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth. I believe in being intentional with each client and building rapport. If a client knows that they can count on you and trust you to provide the service that you have promised them 100% every time, they are going to want to tell others about your service that they believe in.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
I started out personal training and managing at a few commercial gyms as well as private studios. Three and a half years ago, I moved to Dallas and knew that I had to start from the ground up. After building my client list to where I was just comfortable enough to start my own business… covid shut everything down. During this time, I had to get creative. I began to train clients via FaceTime, their homes, and my garage that I had turned into a makeshift training studio. Once things started getting back to normal, I took a huge leap of faith and opened eve by taylor. There were many days I wanted to give up (I mean, training clients out of your garage is not ideal), but I made a point to always stay confident in what I was doing, keep momentum, never get too comfortable, and always stay creative. It definitely helped that I have the most amazing clients who chose to stick with me through all of the transitions.
