We were lucky to catch up with Taylor Warren recently and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Ever since i was younger, I knew that I wanted to be remembered. I didn’t know any to be famous but I wanted to leave an iconic impression, almost in a fashion model way. I knew that I ultimately I wanted to dress up and go to work. When I think about dressing up and going to work, I see these real estate agents and lawyers in their dresses and blazers etc. and i always envisioned myself as that.
I pondered for a while. I drew up sketches every now and then. I would think of names but I didn’t move forward with anything. I know that I had a burning desire for it.
I would see boutiques on instagram and I never thought about it too much. I never thought “I should open a boutique”. This was pre pandemic. During the pandemic I was presented with the idea to start a boutique. I didn’t know where to start, how to get vendors or anything. I have as clueless.
In 2020, I had a business partner, then I decided to branch out on my own. I then decided that I wanted to provide women with a look that would be realistic with everyday style. Hence the name “The Look Boutique”. I wanted women to be able to find a look that fits their style mood in the moment that they are in. Sometimes, women may not feel like dressing up super fancy, but they may not feel like sweats and a tshirt either. So, I knew that there was a gap that needed to be filled. I decided that I would offer clothing that has a timeless look and that can be builded upon.
I knew this would work because I had this problem and most women that I spoke with had this problem. They had clothing that would be too dressy or too dressed down. Providing that healthy balance to a wardrobe is certainly essential.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
While exploring the products at “The Look Boutique” you will always find something for you. I like to think that timeless items of clothing can be used in many different ways. Whether they are transition pieces or pieces that can be used to build an outfit upon,
I really enjoy the confidence that women have in clothing from my boutique. I definitely believe that pretty clothing alters your mood and makes you feel pretty. I love seeing women in Devine feminine energy.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My customer service has helped me build my reputation within my market. I think like a customer because I am a customer. I make sure that orders are shipped out within the next day. I also make sure that customers are getting quality items. I’m accessible, and I’m personable. I want to make sure that my customers are satisfied with every purchase that they make.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
My customers can sign up for the rewards program. They get points with every purchase and they also get a coupon during their birthday month. Once they get so many points, they can redeem the points for a coupon. I like to show my appreciation because they are the reason that I am here today. Customers can also sign up for VIP texts and emails. They will know about the new products first and receive special discount codes.
