We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Taylor Noelle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor , thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe that success takes time and it’s more about how you develop as an artist versus how quickly you rise to the top.I developed this perspective after believing that I had to be famous to be a successful artist, but learned that I’ve always been successful because, I found my passion. People that resonate with my work remind me of that.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into self-portrait photography and portraits in general several years ago while I was in school for Filmmaking. I had taken a class for studio photography and was assigned to do a portrait. My father introduced me to Cindy Sherman’s Untitled Film Stills and created my first self portrait series called ‘Priority’. From there, I fell in love with this concept of documenting these eras of my life as a young woman and discovering my style as a Photographer.
I am in the process of extending my passion into other projects and collaborating with artists on visual albums involving music, etc. I am aiming for a cinematic like photoshoot. Mixing both my passions for film and photography into one.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is having someone connect to your work. I always love when people describe how they feel when they look at a photo or film I shot and can interpret what I am trying to convey or interpret what I might be subconsciously feeling.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I think my long term goal is to continue to create and eventually make it my full-time job. I’d love to be hired to shoot visual albums and create films that reflect my style, but in the meantime I just enjoy creating content and enjoy the journey that comes with it.
