Taylor, appreciate you joining us today. What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business
One of our favorite (and slightly wild) stories that really captures our team’s resilience happened during what was supposed to be a simple birthday party setup. Kayla and I (Taylor) were on our way to decorate for a client’s event —think: beautiful West Virginia scenic views… and zero cell service.
We were following GPS, trusting it maybe a little too much, when it led us off the main road and straight into the middle of nowhere. At one point, we found ourselves driving down a gravel road, convinced the venue had to be just around the corner. It wasn’t. Instead, we ended up stuck—literally—in the middle of a creek.
Yes, a creek.
After a few moments of panic (and a lot of laughter), we pulled it together, got ourselves unstuck, and managed to reroute. Muddy, flustered, and a little sweaty—but determined—we finally made it to the venue. And somehow, we still arrived before the party started and finished setup right on time.
It’s one of those moments that reminds us why we love what we do and how far we’re willing to go—sometimes quite literally—for our clients. Whether it’s navigating wedding day hiccups or, apparently, uncharted forest paths, our team is built on staying calm, working together, and getting the job done no matter what.
It may have been chaotic in the moment, but it’s now one of our favorite “remember when” stories—and a pretty great example of why we’re called Coordinated Chaos Co.

I’m Taylor Kiser, founder of Coordinated Chaos Co., a boutique wedding and event planning company based in West Virginia. At our core, we’re a team of passionate women with hearts for service, eyes for detail, and a shared love for celebrating life’s most meaningful moments.
What began as a one-woman operation fueled by a love of love (and a well-organized timeline!) has grown into a dynamic team that blends creativity, clinical-level calm, and genuine connection. We specialize in Day-Of Coordination, Partial Planning, and Full-Service Wedding Planning—meeting our clients wherever they are in their planning process and guiding them the rest of the way with confidence.
From Critical Care to Carefully Curated Celebrations
One unique thing that sets Coordinated Chaos Co. apart is our background. Myself, JoBeth, and Kayla are all ICU Registered Nurses. We’re no strangers to high-stress situations, critical decision-making, and keeping calm when every second counts. That experience has shaped how we approach events—with poise, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to making sure everything runs smoothly, no matter what.
Our nursing background isn’t just about being organized (though we love a good checklist!). It’s about being able to anticipate needs before they arise, troubleshoot on the fly, and take care of people in a deeply human way—which, at the end of the day, is what wedding planning is all about.

JoBeth – Lead Coordinator & ICU RN. Cool under pressure and always two steps ahead, JoBeth keeps wedding days running with clockwork precision and the warmest heart.
Kayla – Coordinator & ICU RN. Whether it’s a reception timeline or a bustling bridal suite, Kayla brings calm, compassion, and meticulous care to every detail she touches.

Coordinated Chaos Co. isn’t just a business—it’s a team built on trust, family, and genuine friendship. Each of us came into this work with different paths, but together, we’ve created something truly special.
JoBeth and I (Taylor) are cousins, and we’ve been close our entire lives. From growing up side by side to now working weddings together, she’s always been someone I could count on. Her calm, steady presence and incredible organizational skills made her a natural fit for event coordination—especially given our shared background as ICU nurses.
Through JoBeth, I met Kayla about five years ago, and we quickly became close friends. Kayla brings so much heart, reliability, and attention to detail to everything she does—and like JoBeth and me, she’s also a registered ICU nurse, which means she’s cool under pressure and never misses a beat.
Then came Aleksus—Kayla’s sister-in-law—who joined the team and completed our circle in the best way. Aleksus brings a creative flair, a calming energy, and a passion for people that instantly made her a perfect addition. From the moment she stepped in, it felt like she had always been part of the team.
Together, we form a tight-knit group with complementary strengths and a shared mission: to help our clients feel supported, stress-free, and truly celebrated. We’re more than just planners—we’re a team that feels like family, because at the heart of it all, that’s exactly what we are.

Starting Coordinated Chaos Co. as a woman with zero experience was scary. I googled everything, made mistakes, second-guessed myself constantly—but I kept showing up.
That’s what resilience has looked like for me.

And now? I help couples stay calm in the chaos and actually enjoy their best day ever.
