We recently connected with Taylor Husereau and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I’d often roll out my yoga mat at home, my oldest son attempting handstands alongside me while I tried to focus on my breath. Meanwhile, as I continued to learn new practices, sound healing would became my secret tool, soothing my youngest when the world felt too loud for him. Those imperfect yet deeply connected moments sparked something in me: a wish for a safe space where everyone—no matter their story—could show up as they are.
Yoga and sound healing had always been my lifelines. They carried me through injuries, motherhood, and all of life’s twists and turns. But I knew I wasn’t the only one craving more than a class or practice. I wanted to create a space that embraced the messy yet magical reality of being human—a place where imperfection wasn’t just accepted but celebrated.
The logic behind it? It wasn’t just logic—it was a gut feeling. I realized there weren’t enough spaces in the wellness industry that honored the raw, unpolished journey of healing and growth. I wanted to solve that by blending my passions—teaching Rocket yoga to break down limits, offering sound healing sessions to create stillness, and building a community that felt like home.
What fueled me most was the vision of being a bridge—the person who connects individuals to healing, to themselves, and to a supportive community. This wasn’t about reinventing the wheel; it was about offering a human experience. Every yoga class, sound bath, and workshop became an opportunity to remind people they’re not alone in their journey.
Looking back, this endeavor wasn’t just about solving a problem. It was about creating a space where people could pause, breathe, and reconnect with their own magic.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For those who haven’t met me yet, my name is Taylor, and I’m a multi-passionate wellness practitioner, entrepreneur, and community builder. My journey into this industry is as dynamic as the work I do. I started as a lifelong athlete who turned to yoga for healing after injuries and eventually found deeper meaning through the practice. Motherhood—particularly as a mom to a son with a severe intellectual disability—added another layer to my story, teaching me resilience, compassion, and the importance of creating spaces where everyone, no matter their circumstances, can thrive.
Today, I lead a thriving wellness business that offers something truly unique: an intersection of physical movement, mindfulness, sound healing, and personal growth. I’m a Rocket yoga teacher, RYT500 in progress, inversion and flexibility coach, sound healer, and certified Usui Reiki Master. My services range from high-energy yoga classes to deeply restorative sound baths, one-of-a-kind retreats, and somatic embodiment workshops. I don’t just teach—I curate experiences that meet people where they are and empower them to go further than they ever thought possible.
What sets me apart isn’t just my qualifications but the way I bring my whole self into my work. I know firsthand how messy and magical life can be, and my mission is to create spaces where people feel truly seen—whether that’s a student attempting their first handstand or a retreat guest reconnecting with their inner compass. My approach combines technical expertise with heart, creating a balance between challenging my clients to grow and giving them the tools to feel safe and supported in the process.
I’m proud of so much: being 140 hours Rocket certified, partnering with incredible brands, and building a community that spans yoga studios, wellness seekers, and corporate clients alike. But what I’m most proud of is the ripple effect my work creates. It’s the mom who comes to my class looking for a moment of peace and leaves feeling stronger, the corporate team that gains clarity after a sound healing session, or the retreat attendee who discovers they’re capable of more than they ever imagined.
If there’s one thing I want you to know, it’s that my work is about transformation—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. I’ve built my brand on the belief that wellness is for everyone. I create spaces where imperfection is embraced, growth is celebrated, and every person leaves feeling more whole, more capable, and more connected to their potential.
Whether it’s a class, a workshop, or a retreat, my goal is always the same: to remind you that you already have everything you need—you just need a safe space to uncover it.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been rooted in authenticity and community. Rather than chasing numbers or trends, I’ve focused on building genuine relationships and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether it’s a Rocket yoga class, a sound healing session, or a retreat, I aim to meet people where they are and offer experiences that resonate on a deeper level.
Word-of-mouth has been invaluable—when someone feels truly transformed by your work, they naturally want to share it. Many of my clients have come to me through personal recommendations, which is a testament to the trust and connection I’ve built with those I serve.
I’ve also leaned into collaborations that align with my values. Partnering with local brands, wellness studios, and community organizations not only expands my reach but also strengthens the network of people who resonate with my mission.
At the heart of it all, my strategy has been simple: focus on serving people first. When you prioritize creating meaningful, impactful experiences, growth becomes a natural byproduct. It’s not about quick wins; it’s about cultivating a long-lasting connection with every person who walks through the door.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There’s a story that sticks with me when I think about resilience—one that blends chaos, motherhood, and a lot of moments of me wondering if I was losing my mind. My oldest son was just a toddler when I got the diagnosis for my youngest, who has a severe intellectual disability. It felt like I was living in two worlds: one where I was a mom trying to hold it all together, and another where yoga and sound healing became my refuge—my grounding force amid the whirlwind.
But here’s the kicker: as much as I knew these practices helped me, there were days when it felt impossible to carve out time for myself. I remember trying to do a 5-minute breathwork session while my oldest tried to do handstands next to me (spoiler alert: we both ended up in a pile on the floor). But in those messy moments, something clicked. Resilience wasn’t about perfect poses or unbreakable strength—it was about the ability to keep showing up, no matter how imperfectly. So I started bringing yoga and sound healing into the cracks of my day, whether it was taking five minutes of stillness while my son slept or incorporating sound healing as a calming tool to help both my sons navigate their own needs.
That shift in mindset, from striving for perfection to embracing imperfection, became the foundation for my business. It wasn’t just about teaching yoga or offering sound baths—it was about creating a space where people could show up with all their human messiness and still feel seen, supported, and empowered to keep going. It taught me that resilience is really just about finding those moments of calm in the chaos—and using them to reconnect with your inner strength.
Now, when I teach, I carry that lesson with me. I know that the magic isn’t in being perfect; it’s in the raw, real moments when we allow ourselves to be fully human.
