Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Taylor Goldberg. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Taylor, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.
Yes, my business serves an underserved community by providing vital support and guidance to individuals struggling with hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS). These conditions are often misunderstood and overlooked within the medical community, leaving those affected feeling isolated and lacking proper care.
Despite seeking help from various healthcare professionals, this population is consistently met with skepticism and dismissal. hEDS/HSD is a spectrum and can affect every aspect of life, from your ability to work to social interactions, joint pain, frequent dislocations, and chronic fatigue for years and many other comorbidities. Many of our clients come to us feeling hopeless and misunderstood.
Our virtual hypermobility coaching program aims to address the unique needs of this community. We have created a supportive community of individuals who share similar experiences and understand the struggles of this condition firsthand. Through personalized guidance and tailored exercise programs, we help individuals diagnosed with HSD/hEDS, as well as those experiencing symptomatic generalized joint hypermobility, manage their symptoms, exercise safely, address comorbidities, and build a supportive care team.
Moreover, we understand the frustration of feeling misunderstood by healthcare providers and the lack of available resources tailored to this population. That’s why we’ve recently launched a clinician course designed to educate healthcare professionals about HSD/hEDS and how to effectively support and treat patients with these conditions. This 12-week guided curriculum equips clinicians with the necessary knowledge and tools to develop comprehensive treatment plans and provide better care for this underserved population.
By serving as a bridge between individuals with HSD/hEDS and knowledgeable healthcare professionals, we strive to empower both patients and clinicians alike, ultimately improving the quality of life for those affected by these often-overlooked conditions.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
HI! I’m Taylor, a Chiropractor-turned Virtual Hypermobility Coach. My journey into this industry was deeply personal. For as long as I can remember, I was always the “Gumby Girl.” I loved my mobility as a kid and thought it was so cool that my mom and I could do the same party tricks (she has hEDS too). Similar to other bendy people, I picked a sport that used my mobility to its advantage, competitive cheerleading. But by my junior year of college, the severe neck pain began.
I was a pre-med major at the time and visited multiple M.D.’s without receiving conclusive answers. As I started to experience medical gaslighting for the first time, I realized I did not want to be a part of that system. I decided to switch gears and pursue Chiropractic. I knew this field would allow me to practice in a holistic, patient-centered manner where I could help people understand their bodies and manage their pain.
Going through Chiropractic school with hypermobility was a challenge. Nobody, including the professors, knew the dangers of spinal manipulation on a hypermobile neck. As my neck pain grew worse, I knew something had to change, and I had to be the one to change it. I took my educational experience and applied it to myself, for the first time in YEARS, I felt relief. I felt empowered knowing that there was hope for other hypermobile bodies who have been told for so long, “there is nothing we can do for that.” After receiving my Doctorate in Chiropractic from University Of Western States in 2021, I began sharing my experience with Hypermobility across social media on TikTok and Instagram (@thehypermobilechiro).
As my engagement grew, I realized I could be the support and guidance others needed. I offer a range of services aimed at assisting individuals with hypermobility in understanding their bodies’ unique needs and overcoming the challenges associated with conditions like HSD/hEDS. Through one-on-one coaching sessions, I provide personalized guidance tailored to each client’s specific situation. Additionally, I’ve recently launched a course targeted at MSK clinicians, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively support their hypermobile patients.
What sets me apart is my firsthand experience with hypermobility, combined with my professional background as a chiropractor. This unique perspective allows me to offer insights and solutions that resonate deeply with my clients. I’m most proud of the community I’ve built, both on social media platforms like TikTok and IG as well as our community of amazing clients. These platforms not only provide valuable information but also foster a sense of belonging and support among individuals navigating hypermobility.
Taylor’s unique perspective, derived from her education and personal experiences with hypermobility, propels her to drive change not only within the hypermobility community but also within the chiropractic field. She recently initiated a mentorship program named ‘Clinical Concepts,’ where participants explore the limitations of one-size-fits-all chiropractic practices and emphasize the importance of an evidence-based approach to treatment and self-care.
For potential clients and followers, I want them to know that I’m deeply committed to their well-being and empowerment. Whether it’s through personalized coaching sessions, educational courses, or community engagement, my ultimate goal is to help individuals with hypermobility reclaim control of their lives and learn to manage this condition.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Yes, my side hustle did indeed evolve into my main/full-time career. It all began during my journey through chiropractic school while grappling with my own hypermobility challenges. As I sought relief for my own pain and discomfort, I realized there was a lack of understanding and support for hypermobile individuals within the healthcare system.
Driven by my personal experiences and fueled by a desire to make a difference, I started sharing my journey on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Initially, it was just a way to document my own experiences and connect with others who might be going through similar struggles. However, as my content gained traction and I received positive feedback , I saw an opportunity to expand my reach and provide more personalized support.
I began coaching clients on the side, leveraging my knowledge and experiences to help them navigate their own hypermobility challenges. The demand for my coaching services grew steadily, and I soon found myself devoting more and more time to this aspect of my work.
Eventually, I made the decision to transition fully into coaching and launch my own virtual hypermobility coaching business, “The Hypermobile Chiro.” This was a significant milestone for me, as it allowed me to fully align my passion for helping others with my professional expertise.
Since then, the business has continued to grow steadily, mainly due to the support from the Honey Badger Project, a business incubator for healthcare professionals. Overall, the journey from side hustle to full-time career has been both challenging and rewarding. It required dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of my clients and the broader hypermobility community. Today, I’m grateful to be able to pursue my passion on a daily basis and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
There have been several resources that have significantly shaped my management and entrepreneurial thinking. One of the primary influences in my journey has been my engagement with the Honey Badger Project, a business incubator dedicated to assisting healthcare professionals in creating outcome-driven products tailored to their lifestyles while while providing the best care possible. Through their guidance and support, I’ve gained invaluable insights into business strategy, product development, and virtual entrepreneurship.
Additionally, I’ve been deeply involved in Clinical Concepts, a community for like-minded chiropractors seeking to enhance their practices through evidence-based approaches. This network has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and inspiration from fellow professionals, enriching my clinical practice and entrepreneurial mindset.
From a clinical perspective, I’ve found tremendous value in utilizing resources like the EDS Echo programs and reading books such as “Disjointed” and “Taming the Zebra.” These resources have offered comprehensive insights into managing hypermobility conditions, equipping me with practical strategies to better serve my clients.
Moreover, attending seminars hosted by the EDS Society has been instrumental in expanding my clinical expertise and connecting with experts in the field. These experiences have deepened my understanding of hypermobility syndromes and enhanced my ability to provide effective care.
On a personal development level, working with a behavior coach, Shelly, has been transformative. She has helped me navigate challenges such as imposter syndrome and self-sabotage, allowing me to approach my work with greater confidence and clarity.
Overall, the combination of business incubation, clinical education, and personal development has been instrumental in shaping my management and entrepreneurial philosophy. These resources have not only enriched my professional journey but have also empowered me to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
