We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Taylor Fedorenko. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Taylor below.
Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
As the Membership Manager at The KINN in Venice, CA, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of our collective of entrepreneurs, creatives, and impact-driven individuals. The true magic lies in seeing our members not only support each other in their entrepreneurial journeys, creating positive change in the world, but also forging meaningful friendships that extend beyond our walls.
In my role, I get to connect with people daily at The KINN, where the community fosters genuine human connection—not just networking, but truly seeing people for their extraordinary talents. The recurring theme is the desire for a genuine community. Many recount their experiences in co-working spaces where authentic relationships were scarce. This highlights the unique vision of Oliver Evans and Mikul Wing to create a different kind of membership space, one that is greatly needed in a post-pandemic world. I am proud to support a company that embodies the values of connection and impact, qualities I witness every day at The KINN.
The KINN provides mission-driven entrepreneurs and conscious leaders with the resources to bring their visions to life. Our vibrant community, composed of conscious leaders, founders, creatives, and investors, prioritize self-awareness, inner growth, and positive contributions to society. We nurture each other’s growth through business connections, investment opportunities, collaborations, and invaluable relationships.
I never expected to find a place like this in Los Angeles. The KINN has brought together so many genuinely remarkable and talented people, and it’s a privilege to facilitate these connections. I’ve been in L.A. for three years and have struggled to find a community that can balance both conscious growth and authentic connection. It wasn’t until I found The KINN that leaving my corporate life really paid off. It was a big risk, and the reward was so much sweeter. I’ve never been so excited about going to work, and I am incredibly grateful for all of the friends I’ve made and the network I’ve grown with along the way. The KINN has changed my life for the better, and for that, I am grateful.
The mission of The KINN is to empower purpose-driven entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, innovation, and personal development. We aim to make a significant impact by creating a supportive and inspiring collective.

Taylor, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
With a background in corporate sales, I’ve had the privilege to work for a few Fortune 500 companies. My diverse experiences, including time in the service industry in San Francisco, led me to my last corporate role in medical devices, where I trained surgeons in minimally invasive techniques. Despite these accomplishments, something was missing.
In September 2023, after eight years in the corporate world, I made the bold decision to leave it all behind. After weeks of job hunting on LinkedIn and reaching out to my network, I hit a wall. I struggled to envision how my career would transition from the security of the corporate world to the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship. It was through stepping away from my laptop and saying yes to more outside events that a new friend coincidentally invited me to Conscious Capitalism, an event at The KINN.
Stepping into this event, I told myself I was going to find five job opportunities. I never felt so inspired as when I walked into a room filled with founders of impactful companies and former athletes turned entrepreneurs. Little did I know that running into the head of strategy at The KINN, Carina Cunha, would open doors I hadn’t imagined. I drove home with six new promising connections, a smile on my face, and a realization of the immense potential of a supportive, mission-driven community.
In December, I officially started my role as the Membership Manager at The KINN. I dedicate myself to growing this unique community and providing entrepreneurs and conscious leaders with the resources to bring their visions to life and create meaningful change. We achieve this through our thoughtfully crafted accelerator programs, a dedicated team that connects members with a broader network, weekly impact-based events, health and wellness amenities, and an environment that fosters meaningful collaboration. Change, growth, and enhanced connectivity are inevitable here.
What sets The KINN apart is our selective onboarding process, integrating ten new members monthly to ensure a smooth transition and focus on each individual. This approach has created a vibrant, inspiring network that supports each other’s growth and drives positive change.
Connecting with a group of like-minded and forward-thinking individuals as an adult can be challenging, but The KINN makes it possible. If you’re seeking a community that inspires and supports you, both personally and professionally, The KINN is the place for you. We’re here to help you create meaningful connections and achieve your goals. Are you ready to experience the magic?

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our primary focus has been building something our community loves, and we’ve fortunately received a lot of organic word-of-mouth. We prioritize open communication, regularly checking in with our members to ensure they maximize their membership experience.
Additionally, we have implemented a simple yet powerful method: reviews. When members or event attendees have a great experience—whether it’s making meaningful connections, enjoying a panel, or benefiting from our co-working space—we encourage them to leave a review. These authentic testimonials have attracted many people who were considering other spaces to tour The KINN. Our beautiful space and thoughtfully organized events, draw people in, but it’s the vibrant community and positive atmosphere that truly set us apart—something you can’t buy, only create.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
When I started my first day as a sales representative, I was advised to focus on building my brand carefully and shadowed the best players on the team. I approached everything I did and said with caution. Before entering the office, I adjusted my mask and set out to tackle the day’s work.
It wasn’t until my first ride-along with the top sales representative in the region that everything changed. Determined to learn all the tactics needed to succeed as a top performer, I listened intently and took notes like it was nobody’s business. However, after the meeting ended, I felt off. This experience felt purely transactional.
When I got my own territory, I set out for my week’s appointments. I used all the tactics I had learned, and I never failed so hard. I was crushed; I got turned down by almost every decision-maker. I knew something had to give.
So I did what I knew best: I showed up as a compassionate and curious human and leaned into my personality and what made me special. And wow, did things change. I coincidentally met with one of the companies I had engaged with on my first ride-along. I didn’t let the fear of being put into a box hold me back from showing my authentic self. The meeting went so well that they asked for me to be their direct point of contact, and they appreciated my way of doing business.
People want to do business with someone they can build a relationship with—someone who cares and will go out of their way to solve a problem and handle business in a more humane way.
Maintaining honest intentions, being genuinely curious, and nurturing relationships with others – you will lead yourself to greater success and fulfillment in your work. You can be genuinely happy with the work you do; you just have to take the risk to find it.
