We were lucky to catch up with Taylor Dietz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
There was a moment early in my journey that completely shifted the trajectory of my career and my purpose as a chiropractor. It was during my first trimester of chiropractic school. My wife and I were expecting our second child, and while we had planned a hospital birth—life had other plans. Our baby decided to arrive quickly, and we unexpectedly ended up having an unplanned home birth.
I have to say, the experience was incredible. Compared to our first child’s hospital birth—which, while fine, felt clinical and somewhat stressful—this home birth was on a completely different level. There was this sense of calm, empowerment, and connection that we hadn’t felt the first time around.
And here’s the thing—my wife felt amazing afterward. Her body handled labor and delivery in a way that was night-and-day different from our first experience. I truly believe that a huge part of that was the consistent chiropractic care she’d been receiving throughout her pregnancy. Her nervous system was functioning optimally, her body was in alignment, and she was able to tap into that innate ability to bring life into the world without unnecessary interference.
That moment changed everything for me. Watching my wife not just survive but thrive through that process made me realize just how powerful chiropractic care can be—especially for pregnant moms and kids. I knew then and there that I wanted to dedicate my career to helping families have those kinds of empowering, natural experiences.
The biggest lesson I took from that is this: when we allow the body to function the way it’s designed to, amazing things happen. And as a chiropractor, I have the privilege of helping people—especially moms and kids—tap into that potential. That moment wasn’t just a defining moment for my career; it was a defining moment for me as a person, a dad, and a husband. It’s the “why” behind everything I do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a nervous system-focused chiropractor and the owner of Renegade Chiropractic in Orem, Utah. My journey into chiropractic began with a deeply personal experience when I was 23. At that time, I was struggling with health challenges that were holding me back from living the life I wanted. Through chiropractic care, I was able to get back to feeling my best, and it completely changed my perspective on health and healing. That experience planted a seed—I knew I wanted to give others the same opportunity to live life to their fullest.
Fast forward to when my wife and I were expecting our second child, and chiropractic care became personal all over again. My wife’s consistent care during her pregnancy transformed her experience—it not only helped her body stay strong and adaptable but played a huge role in what became a smooth, empowering birth. That moment solidified my mission: to focus on helping moms and kids. Pregnancy and parenting are demanding enough, and I want families to know they don’t have to just “get by”—they can thrive.
At Renegade Chiropractic, we do things differently. I’m proud to be a PXDoc, which means we specialize in addressing the nervous system to unlock the body’s full potential. We use state-of-the-art INSiGHT technology to assess how the nervous system is functioning, giving us a clear picture of what’s happening beneath the surface. From there, we build fully customized care plans for each practice member, whether they’re an infant, a pregnant mom, or someone simply looking to optimize their health. Our goal is to help you and your family achieve your goals—whether that’s fewer sick days for your kids, a more comfortable pregnancy, or simply living a life with less stress and more energy.
What really sets us apart is the experience we create in our office. Kids love coming in—they’re excited for their visits, and we make sure it’s a place where families feel supported, cared for, and truly at home. We’re not just here to deliver adjustments; we’re here to deliver hope, healing, and a path to a better quality of life.
What I’m most proud of is the transformation we get to witness in the families we serve. It’s not just about helping someone feel better—it’s about empowering parents to show up fully for their kids, helping children grow into their potential, and giving families the tools to thrive together. Seeing a mom reclaim her confidence during pregnancy, watching a child light up as they reach milestones they’ve struggled with, or hearing parents share how life feels lighter and more joyful—those moments remind me why we do what we do. At Renegade Chiropractic, it’s not just about care—it’s about creating a ripple effect of health, hope, and connection for the next generation.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Building a reputation within our market has been about one thing: connection. From the beginning, we knew that to truly serve moms and families, we needed to be part of the same community that supports them. That’s why we’ve prioritized building relationships with local midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, and mom groups. These professionals share the same mission of empowering families, and by collaborating with them, we’re able to provide more comprehensive care and support.
It’s not just about networking—it’s about listening and understanding what moms in our community truly need. By connecting with those who are already trusted advocates in the birth and parenting space, we’ve been able to establish trust and credibility within the community. Whether it’s through speaking at local events, providing resources, or simply showing up to listen, these connections have allowed us to build a reputation as a team that genuinely cares about families’ well-being.
Ultimately, we believe what’s really helped is that we’re all working toward the same goal—helping families thrive. By collaborating and supporting one another, we’ve been able to create a stronger, healthier community, and that’s something we’re incredibly proud to be a part of.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training and knowledge, I believe the key to succeeding in our field is being crystal clear on who we serve and how we serve them. From the very beginning, we’ve been laser-focused on supporting the infant, pediatric, and prenatal community. This isn’t just something we started doing recently—it’s been our passion since my time in chiropractic school. We’ve poured our energy into understanding the unique needs of moms, babies, and kids so we can serve them at the highest level.
But beyond expertise, I think what truly sets us apart is the experience we create. When families walk through our doors, they’re not just coming to an appointment—they’re becoming part of the Renegade Family. There’s a sense of belonging here that people feel right away. Moms feel supported, kids feel excited, and families know they’re in a place where they’re seen, heard, and cared for.
Success in this field isn’t just about delivering great care—it’s about creating an environment where people feel connected, valued, and empowered. When families leave our office feeling healthier, happier, and more confident in their journey, that’s when we know we’ve done our job. It’s that sense of community and connection that drives everything we do, and I believe it’s been a huge factor in our success.
