We were lucky to catch up with Taylor Dante recently and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about one of the craziest things you’ve experienced in your journey so far.
As many of us can understand the last couple of years have taken an interesting turn and impacted not only ourselves but our businesses. With the spread of COVID, I found myself having to take a step back.
Yet, during what seemed to be a roller coaster experience an unexpected email appeared in my inbox I will never forget. The city of Las Vegas reached out to collaborate together. It was “crazy” to say the least that during such a tough time one of the best opportunities would occur. Even though I had been to Las Vegas many times before I had not been as a “content creator”. Together we crafted a customized itinerary that would cover my favorite spots along with new adventures both on and off the strip. A few included Omega Mart in Area 15, 7 Magic Mountains, creative food dishes such as the Flower Pot from the Wynn, and much more.
A trip of a lifetime that since has opened doors to additional travel and destinations opportunities. I came back from Las Vegas learning that through “crazy” times it is important to continue working hard, growing your business, and believing in yourself.
Taylor, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Of course! For those who don’t know my name is Taylor and I am the {C}hief {E}ating {O}fficer of TAYstyTravels, a food, travel, and lifestyle brand based in Miami. Born and raised in South Florida I grew up with a serious passion for food. I came up with the name TAYstyTravels a couple of years back alongside family & friends who encouraged me to start sharing all of my TAYsty experiences. For some time the name was just an idea in the back of my mind before it finally came to life. What started off as just a name later became an Instagram page and has now grown into a full-service business.
As a content creator on multiple platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with a variety of brands. To name a few: Papa John’s, Hard Rock Cafe, Panera Bread, King’s Hawaiian, Publix, TD Bank, Dunkin’, History Channel, Kahlua, and much more! I am extremely proud of each and everyone one of my collaborations. From supporting local restaurants to worldwide businesses my goal is to always create fresh, colorful, and engaging content.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
A few pointers that I always share are to be consistent, authentic, and just have fun with it! You want to be able to scroll through your social media and feel proud of the content you have produced. If you do not feel intrigued by your own work how will others?
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
As I have grown TAYstyTravels I have tried all different strategies to gain new clients. Everything from third-party platforms, word of mouth, and more. Yet, personally, I have found my most success by pitching myself to brands I love and admire. If you feel that you are the right fit and that your audience would connect with a certain brand you should reach out. A simple message expressing your interest can go a long way!
