We recently connected with Taylor Cicali and have shared our conversation below.

Taylor, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

Gaming has always been my passion, and I even dabbled in streaming for fun. But when I met my now-husband, Anthony ‘Hoagie’ Cicali, he showed me that streaming could be more than a hobby—it could become a semi professional career.

With his support, I joined a stream and started with a team called Nerdthusiast, engaging with audiences, and learning the ropes. At first were tough, but over time, my community has been growing and I have enjoyed the process so far.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

“Hi, I’m Taylor Cicali, but most people online know me as XFirewalksX. I’m a content creator and streamer currently part of the Nerdthusiast team. I primarily stream games like Dead by Daylight and Spyro, but I love mixing it up with titles like Diablo and some fun, random games to keep things fresh. Gaming has always been a passion of mine, and streaming allows me to share that passion with a community of like-minded individuals.

Through Nerdthusiast, I’ve been able to expand that connection, sharing my gameplay, tips, and experiences with viewers who enjoy a mix of gaming.

What sets me apart is the welcoming and engaging environment I strive to create on my streams. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just dropping in to hang out, I want my content to be a space where everyone feels included. I’m most proud of the amazing community we’ve built—one that’s supportive, interactive, and always up for a laugh.

I aim to entertain, connect, and inspire. I want potential followers and fans to know that my streams are not just about gameplay but about having fun with friends. Whether it’s diving into a strategy for Dead by Daylight or reliving childhood memories with Spyro, I’m here to create moments that resonate and remind us why we love gaming.”

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is how it serves as an outlet and a release from the stresses of my full-time job and daily life. Streaming and creating content allow me to channel my energy in a way that’s both productive and fun. It’s a space where I can let go, be myself, and share what I love with others.

Gaming and streaming give me a chance to unwind, connect with a community, and focus on something positive. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that the content I create not only helps me recharge but also brings joy and entertainment to others. That balance between self-expression and connecting with an audience is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My main goal with my creative journey is simple: to have fun and see where it takes me. I stream every Monday at Twitch.tv/Nerdthusiast at 9Pm ET and my focus is on being consistent with my content while creating a space where others can relax, have fun, and enjoy themselves.

I believe gaming and streaming should be about sharing joy and connecting with people who love the same things. Whether it’s diving into intense gameplay or just having a good laugh, my mission is to keep it lighthearted, engaging, and fun for everyone who joins the stream. Consistency and enjoyment are key, and I’m excited to see how this journey evolves.
