We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Taylor Brune. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Taylor below.
Alright, Taylor thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Medicine and helping patients on their healing journey have always been passions of mine. At the age of 21 in 2012, my health began to decline. I developed numerous health issues and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Later in 2014, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease after being bit by a tick. For many years I had dedicated my life, and my research to learning how to heal from the damage this tick bite caused. Through my journey of healing myself, I helped many patients in their healing journey. A way of life (healing) became my calling. While I was on treatment for Lyme I worked on my degree and became a premed while working in various medical practices and hospitals. I went into remission from Lyme disease in 2017 and worked very hard on the path to becoming a doctor. I began working in the medical field in 2017, serving numerous physicians as their Medical Assistant, Scribe, Surgical Assistant, along with many other roles. I also would work second jobs in marketing, and social media.
I knew if I could serve physicians in turn it would help more patients. I was all set to apply to medical schools in 2020 when COVID took over my body in April and I fought for my life for 3 months. This infection completely derailed me and changed the trajectory of my life. My health declined once again and doors began to close on my dream of becoming a doctor. My health was not strong enough to continue working in the hospital, so I had to quit my job, and figure out another career path. My calling and purpose still remained in me wanting to help patients heal and help support physicians. It was a past physician I worked with that gave me the idea to start my own business. It was the grace of God and the endurance of my faith that allowed me to overcome the loss of my dream of becoming a doctor and turn the loss into a redirection of positive impact in patients and physicians’ lives. I then built The Medical Minder Virtual Agency. Where I serve physician entrepreneurs build their businesses, take care of their patients through remote patient care, and help further their healing impact into the online communities of patients. My mission has always been to help patients in their healing journey, whether it be through giving them the encouragement through my social media, or giving them the support and resources and access to physicians’ online businesses, knowing I am helping patients by helping physicians drives me. My mission is to help physician entrepreneurs spread their knowledge, resources, and stories through their online businesses and practices, so that in turn they create beautiful and healing ripple effects in these patients’ lives. The struggles I have had to overcome with my health have made me the woman I am today and that is a woman of value, drive, faith, purpose, and hope. And these qualities are exactly what physicians need in their team, and exactly what patients need in their corner.
My story is just beginning and I am excited to see how my business creates healing ripple effects.

Taylor , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
The Medical Minder Virtual Agency’s mission: Our mission is to support physicians through their journey to empowering patients. To help physicians with their projects, businesses, and or clinics, in order to give them more time to dedicate to their patients and their passions. Problems I solve for my clients (physician entrepreneurs): Save them time and energy and money by assisting them and working on the tasks and projects they need to get done but don’t have time to do. I help them create their brand, and tell their story through social media, creating them a community and audience as well as patients and clients for their businesses. I help bridge the communication gap for their online practices, by serving their patients through virtual Medical Assisting. I solve many different problems for them every day as their virtual assistant and help bring ease when they need it the most. They too need support and encouragement and a reliable team, and I am here to provide them with those things.
What sets me apart from other Virtual Assistant, Social Media and Medical Assistant agencies: I am medically minded. My passion and calling align with theirs. This is why I am here, so my dedication and drive will never be lacking. I also have been trained under numerous surgeons and world class physicians and understand how they think. I understand the standard of excellence they are required to be as well as how they hold their team under those expectations. I go above and beyond for every client, ensuring that they know they are fully supported. I too am also a chronic illness patient and can relate to many of their patients they see and desire to help. Having both the patient and the medical background, experience, and education sets me apart as their unique asset with any endeavor they go after.
What am I most proud of: I am proud of myself. I built this successful business myself. Learning and educating myself in order to serve my clients better. I am proud of how I remained strong in my faith and endurance through the darkest times in my life and created something beautiful and purposeful out of my pain. I am proud of this agency and am excited to see it scale, grow and reach more people.
What do I want others/potential clients to know: Helping people with their healing-in any form, is truly the most rewarding blessing. Whether it be helping physicians heal their families because they finally have more time now with them because I am helping work on tasks and projects. Or whether it is helping patients in their healing by building online courses or webinars through the physician’s online business. Knowing I am contributing to the physician and patient’s life is what fuels my purpose. To my future clients: I will always provide integrity, purpose, value, worth, compassion, and encouragement in our work together.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Reputation is only a mirror of who you are and what you value. If you value who you are and what you contribute to this world, this will be displayed in the choices and actions you take. I believe we cross paths with those who are aligned in our values and goals. Because of this, every person you meet is vital to your growth as an individual and as an entrepreneur. I have worked many years on my personal growth and it is a priority of mine to always do my best and go above and beyond what people expect. I provide results, but also value to my clients. I want their experience with me to be healing and positive. I want to infuse purpose into the work I do with them. Because of my growth mindset, and adaptability, I consistently work hard to better myself and my work. And because of this, it creates beautiful partnerships with each client of mine. I believe the partnerships I have had with my clients have created a ripple effect in the physician entrepreneur community. They are at their core, healers. And because I am too, our goals, and passions are aligned and it creates a beautiful symmetry. I know my integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness have all contributed to my reputation as well. Knowing that who I am is positively reflected in my reputation in the community gives me great joy. If you choose to honor others through your work, it will be evident and it will automatically attract your clients. My entire client list has been through referrals thus far, and I am excited to expand and meet more people.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built an online audience through my personal social media (2015-present) by sharing my story. I built it by being genuine, authentic, and creating aesthetic visuals to share with my writings. I shared my trials and triumphs and it created an incredible impact. I was asked to speak at events, was apart of a documentary film, was interviewed by numerous magazines, news anchors, and journalists. I partnered with multiple brands and businesses online through affiliate marketing. I built a community because of sharing my story and the real me. Because of this, multiple physicians wanted me to do the same for them. Help them build their brand, share their story, and create more impact. I have now been focused more on building their audiences rather than my own, but even years later, people who follow me still support me, and share with me how my story has helped them through their darkest times. Which is the most rewarding and fulfilling thing to experience. Knowing my social media posts have helped thousands of people just shocks me still to this day. But the number one tip on building your social media audience is be authentic, share your story (the good and the bad). Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. This is what creates the impact, builds the trust, and creates the audience who later become paid clients or patients. Building a community is not just about doing the next trend, but it is about putting yourself out there into the world and contributing to other’s lives by sharing who you are, your story, and your experience with others. Social media is about connection. Don’t let the fear of being vulnerable or looking less than perfect make you come across disingenuous or shallow. Be real with yourself and with others and you will build your social media successfully.
