We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Taylor-Brinaé a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Taylor-Brinaé , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I knew I wanted to be a professional singer when I would watch my mom sing on stage all the time and the first time I sang on a stage when I was 5/6 years old. I loved the feeling I got when the crowd was clapping and supporting me. I noticed that the nerves went away once I heard people clapping for me, because that meant they really liked my singing.

Taylor-Brinaé , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Well my mom said I’ve been singing since I was 2yrs old. I started making real vocals at 4 years old and singing on stages at 5/6 years old. There’s a video of me on YouTube acting like I’m singing something but it sounds like mumbling, it’s so cute and funny. I told my parents that I wanted to be a famous singer when I grow up. So now I’m headed towards my dream. I have released 2 songs on all streaming platforms so far. One is called “Louder” and the new release is called “Be Good In School”! I have also started a Learning Education series on YouTube and the first song and visual that’s out now is called “Learn Your Sight Words” I have more coming for that series on my youtube channel TaylorBrinaeSings. My music is about positive things, feeling good about yourself, never give up, no bullying and have fun learning. I want kids and people to feel happy and inspired when they see me perform and when they hear my music.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

The mission driving my music is being a positive light for kids to follow. Encourage kids to stop bullying other kids and be good people all the time.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding thing for me is when people are smiling and happy when they hear my music or see me perform. I like to make people feel happy and inspired
