We recently connected with Taylor Bigon and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I named my business Taylored Ink Co. not just as a play on my name, but because I wanted it to reflect the personal approach I bring to every client. The name ‘Taylored’ represents the unique, customized care I have always felt passionate to represent. I wanted to ensure every service is as individual as the person receiving it. I also wanted my business to feel personable and approachable. When clients call or reach out, I want them to know it’s me they’re connecting with, someone who genuinely cares. It’s about building trust, understanding their needs, and creating something that’s as unique as they are.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Taylor, the founder of Taylored Ink Co., a business born from my passion for helping individuals feel confident, empowered, and whole through the art of permanent makeup, aesthetic services, and paramedical tattoos. My journey into this industry was inspired by my deep desire to combine artistic expression with meaningful connections, offering services that go beyond skin deep.
Taylored Ink Co. provides a wide range of services designed to enhance natural beauty and restore confidence. From permanent makeup options like Permanent Eyebrows, Permanent Eyeliner, and Lip Blushing to aesthetic services like Henna Brows, Brow Laminations, Teeth Whitening, Lash Lifts, and Tints, we cater to those looking for everyday enhancements. Additionally, our paramedical services, including 3D Areola Tattoos, Skin Needling, and Scar Camouflage, are focused on helping individuals regain a sense of wholeness after life’s challenges.
What sets Taylored Ink Co. apart is our commitment to creating a personalized experience for every client. My philosophy revolves around treating each person as unique, understanding their stories, and delivering results that feel natural, empowering, and transformative. This “taylored” approach ensures that every service aligns with the client’s individual needs, both aesthetically and emotionally.
One of the aspects I am most proud of is our work in paramedical tattooing, particularly 3D Areola Tattoos. These services hold profound meaning for me, as they help breast cancer survivors reclaim ownership of their bodies after challenging journeys. Providing a safe, compassionate space where individuals can heal and celebrate their strength is incredibly rewarding.
At Taylored Ink Co., I aim to create more than just beauty transformations. I strive to offer a sanctuary where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I want potential clients and followers to know that our services are about more than appearances… they’re about empowerment, confidence, and self-expression.
Whether you’re seeking a subtle enhancement or a service with a deeper purpose, Taylored Ink Co. is here to help you feel your best inside and out.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe several key factors have contributed to building Taylored Ink Co.’s reputation within the market:
Commitment to quality has always been a priority. From the very beginning, I’ve prioritized excellence in every aspect of my work, from the precision of my artistry to the premium products I use. Clients trust that when they choose Taylored Ink Co., they’re receiving top-tier services that are safe & designed to enhance their natural beauty and create lasting results.
Personalizing my approach with each client is SO important to me as well. It’s the driving factor behind the name of my company. Every client has a unique story, and I make it a point to truly listen and understand their needs. This “taylored” approach—customizing each service to align with their goals and lifestyle—has helped me build strong relationships and earn loyal clients who feel valued and understood.
Compassion and presence with every guest is something I care deeply about. Especially in the paramedical tattooing space, offering services like 3D Areola Tattoos and Scar Camouflage requires more than technical skill—it demands empathy. Providing a safe, supportive environment where clients can feel comfortable during deeply personal moments has been instrumental in fostering trust and respect.
Education and transparency are two factors that I feel make or break a first impression with clients. I’ve always made it a priority to educate clients about their options, the process, and aftercare. By being transparent and approachable, I’ve created a reputation for reliability and professionalism, which has led to referrals and repeat business.
Delivering consistent results is crucial. My clients know they can expect professionalism and attention to detail at every appointment, which builds confidence in my brand.
Word of mouth and client testimonials!! Social media driving the image for all of us these days can make this sound old school and outdated. Like as long as the social media feeds look good, and we are putting out good reels then we are doing all we can do. But I completely disagree. 90% of my clients are complimenting the amount of client reviews I have online. Happy clients are the best form of advertising. By exceeding expectations and providing results that make people feel beautiful and empowered, I’ve earned glowing testimonials and word-of-mouth referrals, which have been invaluable in establishing my reputation.
Finally, having a strong mission is vital. Not only for having a clear identity for clients to grasp about your business but for you as a business owner to stay on track and aligned with your long and short term goals. At the core of Taylored Ink Co. is a genuine passion for empowering individuals and celebrating resilience. Whether through transformative paramedical tattoos or subtle beauty enhancements, this mission resonates deeply with my clients and has become a cornerstone of my brand identity.
Ultimately, I believe my reputation has grown because clients can see and feel the passion, care, and dedication I pour into every service. It’s not just about the results—it’s about the experience, the trust, and the impact we create together.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
For a long time, I wrestled with the idea that my success—or my worth—was tied to how I measured up to others. I’d get caught in this exhausting cycle of comparison: my headshots weren’t as polished as someone else’s, or their social media game seemed so much stronger than mine. It got to the point where I was burning out—not because I didn’t love my work, but because I was spending more energy worrying about how I looked to others than how I felt about myself.
For a while, I thought the burnout meant I wasn’t fulfilled by my work, but therapy helped me see the real issue: I was way too dependent on other people’s opinions of what I was doing. I was so focused on how I appeared to the world that I lost sight of how I appeared to myself.
That realization changed everything for me. I shifted my perspective and adopted a kind of “tunnel vision” for my own goals and values. I started asking myself what I wanted my reputation to be—not in comparison to anyone else, but as my own brand. I thought about the long-term goals that mattered most to me and made it my mission to build something that felt true to who I am. And honestly, one of the biggest guiding lights for me has been asking: “Would six-year-old me be proud of this?”
That pivot gave me clarity and peace. Instead of trying to follow someone else’s playbook, I’ve begun to create a brand that feels deeply personal and aligned with my values. Sure, I still get inspired by others—there’s so much talent in this industry—but now it’s from a place of admiration, not comparison.
Letting go of that need for outside validation hasn’t just made me a better business owner; it’s made me a happier, more grounded person. And when you operate from a place of authenticity, your work resonates with the right people—no filters or perfect headshots required.
