We recently connected with Taylor Berry and have shared our conversation below.
Taylor, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
It’s crazy how I stumbled into mental health, currently working on being licensed. I was a newly graduate from the University of Oklahoma. In my head, I just knew I was going to land a job centered around player development in collegiate athletics and a mentor of mine had offered me a job. At the time I was working at enterprise looking to make pivot career wise. I’m very much so happy with what I do! Giving back to the youth through mental health there is nothing greater! Although my end goal is to work with student athletes at the collegiate level.
Taylor, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Professionally, I am a mental health professional in transition to becoming a licensed professional Counselor.. The type of problems I solve ranges from depression & anxiety, life skills, advocating and the list goes on!
I think what sets me apart from others, I don’t have a fear of failing & Im consistent with whatever I put my mind to.
I think I’m most proud of the most, living life to the fullest & getting the most out of each day!
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Its crazy how the pandemic forced everyone to pivot! The mission of the foundation changed and centered back towards my profession (Mental Health) because i was spreading myself way too thin, and I wasn’t consistent.
Often times when building a brand, you have to be consistent with the brand everything centers back, like core values, initiatives, outreach.. Essentially with todays times, we lack humanitarian projects or uplifting communities.. Sometimes we have to realize our blessing we receive are not for us!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
To be relevant and make impact, you must continue to learn through humility & perseverance, when things dont go as planned (losing sponsors due to COVID), Receiving a No from corporate offices stating we cant help! Things can get discouraging, but you cant quit!
