We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tayler Turner a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Tayler , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

Hello, My name is Tayler Turner, and my meaningful project is titled, “The Little Belly Dancer ©.”

Tayler , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hello! I’m Tayler Turner and I am an actress, voice-over artist, and audio drama producer. Ever since a child, I’ve always fantasized about playing the lead female role in any major Hollywood movie. Whether it be a cartoon or a live-action film, any interesting, beautiful, and dynamic character that graced my screen … I wanted to be her. After creating my first short film in the 3rd grade to then receiving my Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Cinema Arts and Sciences, while minoring in Acting, I decided it was time to create something new for myself. The most current project I am focused on today is my fantasy story podcast or audio drama called, “The Little Belly Dancer ©.” Originally inspired by the ancient art of belly dance and specifically, its mesmerizing music. Music is a medium that molds my vision. It’s hard to live a full life without it. When I hear something, I see scenes and moments that I ultimately feel must be captured in some way or else. Hence, me creating The Little Belly Dancer © not only for my own pleasure, but to highlight an art in all its glory. What I want to do with my project is not only spread awareness, and to bring my vision to life, but to provide a premium escapism experience for my listeners.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is when others are able to enjoy your efforts and what you put out. When people are able to relate, when others are able to laugh, cry, or express what it is they need to express because of your work! When others are able to feel what you feel and see what you see. That’s the reason for art. Shared self expression.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

The goal that drives my creative journey is the legacy I want to leave behind. I think one of my biggest desires in life is to be remembered for something(s) great! I’ve always seen myself as this…possible legend that could create world renowned projects and changes the scene within the entertainment industry. And I can still do that, regardless of my struggles in life, I can still see the vision. The vision is still in me. And as long as it’s in me, I can still achieve it.
