Tay, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge about profitability in my industry is the lack of value from promoters and club owners. Working in the entertainment industry can be challenging when others don’t value your talent resulting in taking more opportunities that may not have a monetary profit in the hopes that it will create more opportunities. This can be discouraging when trying to build a substantial career.
Tay, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to learn in my industry is that nothing is personal even when it is. When you have a passion for something it’s very easy to take things personally from “missed” opportunities to accepting pay cuts the entertainment industry is very cut throat. What I’ve learned over the past 5 years is that taking this personally hinders you instead of helping, acknowledging your value and being diligent in your expectations up front allows you to be more prepared in moments where things could be perceived as personal
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I would say “The Four Agreements” broadened my spectrum on life and opportunities by simplifying how life should be lived to avoid disappointment and let downs.
