Hi Tawnya, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
Elevating Customer Experience: Just The Strip’s Extraordinary Connection with Clients
In an era where businesses often prioritize transactions over relationships, Just The Strip is setting a heartwarming example of how personalized touches can create lasting connections with customers. With a strong commitment to uplifting women in the esthetics industry and fostering meaningful connections, Just The Strip goes above and beyond to make every customer feel truly special.
At the heart of Just The Strip’s customer experience lies a sincere desire to create more than just a transactional relationship. Their efforts begin even before the package reaches the customer’s doorstep. The team takes the time to write personalized love notes on each box, a thoughtful gesture that instantly establishes a personal connection. These notes, filled with affirmations and warmth, reflect the brand’s commitment to spreading positivity and lifting spirits.
Inside every box, customers discover more than just their ordered products. Just The Strip includes affirmation cards with messages like “stay close to people who feel like sunshine,” aiming to empower and inspire recipients with words that resonate on a deeper level. The signature feather and Smarties candies that accompany each package not only add a touch of uniqueness but also symbolize the brand’s attention to detail and dedication to making customers smile.
However, the surprises don’t stop there. Just The Strip consistently goes the extra mile by including unexpected treats and gifts in their shipments. From sheet masks to extra samples, journals, crystals, and palo santo, these added delights reveal the brand’s commitment to surprising and delighting customers beyond their expectations. Cute pens, handwritten notes, and other personalized items further showcase the brand’s effort to create moments of genuine connection.
But Just The Strip’s dedication to building relationships transcends the confines of a box. Their belief in supporting small businesses is exemplified through their willingness to hop on calls with customers for a simple chat and catch-up. This genuine interaction has the potential to completely transform someone’s day, leaving a lasting impact that extends beyond a mere product purchase.
In a world driven by commerce, Just The Strip reminds us of the beauty in fostering connections that go beyond business transactions. Their commitment to lifting other women in the esthetics industry, combined with their heartwarming gestures and personalized touches, underscores the power of putting people first. As customers continue to seek genuine connections in their interactions, Just The Strip stands out as a shining example of a brand that truly understands the value of making every individual feel special and cherished.
Tawnya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Just The Strip was born out of a desire and need for a fun and playful after wax skincare line. It started after a major health scare when I was left bed ridden for almost 8 weeks and the covid slow down. Vendors and suppliers were running out of products and I was tired of hearing from the middle man that i could not get the supplies i needed to run my business. So i got work and created Just The Strip with the Smooth Operator Roll on being the original product.
Our line grew from there and we expanded into a handful more aftercare products along with professional items like wax, brow lamination and lash lift products. We even added lash and brow oils, facial oil and body oils to the line up.
We are constantly striving for the best ingredients and to have products that actually work and are cost effective with a fun and playful brand other businesses are happy to display on their shelves.
We are most proud of the natural growth we have experienced by just simply being authentic and wanting to connect with our customers on a deep level.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think being honest, real and sharing the good, the bad and the ugly create a safety with your audience and customers.
I also think the almost 20 years of experience as an esthetician and actually running my own businesses in the waxing world has helped me seem more approachable. I am also an open book and love helping other people grow their businesses. If anyone wants to hop on a call, grab a cup of coffee or sip some teas while chatting business I am happy to share my experiences. This is what feeds my heart and soul and has led me into now hosting our Creator’s Retreats for other women in the business.
Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
We do manufacture many of our products and that has been a very expensive and at times very frustrating process. The products that we manufacture overseas are the Smooth Operator, The Polisher and the lash lift, brow lamination products as well as our wax. We have had thousands of bottles and products made wrong, damaged or lost over the last 3 years. With each experience we learn and work harder to tighten up this part of our business. We are pleased to have brought our Nourishing Oils home and are now being made in small batches in the USA. They join the line up of the Ultimate Body Oils, Facial Oil, Lash & Brow oils.
We have finally found some of the best manufacturers that we have personal and trysting relationships with and this is a huge relief.
The lessons I have learned is to get everything sent to try and really know your ingredients and understand the science behind why certain ingredients work and what they are used for so you can work directly with your manufacturer to create the products that best suit you and your customers.
