We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tawana Rice. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tawana below.
Tawana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Folks often look at a successful business and imagine it was an overnight success, but from what we’ve seen this is often far from the truth. We’d love to hear your scaling up story – walk us through how you grew over time – what were some of the big things you had to do to grow and what was that scaling up journey like?
I’ve scaled up my business through an organic method that any business owner can follow. In fact, there is no formula involved. Just a simple way of life I’ve chosen to follow. I’ve never failed by treating others well, gaining their full trust, and sowing good seeds. It’s the most simplified yet rewarding way to grow your company. I learned this method of business from my mother as a child and implemented it into my adult life. If you plant good seeds, it will grow and produce great fruit! Some of these seeds will instantly; but others may take a little longer. Either way, they will harvest at the right time! When implementing this into your business, you’ll personally witness an abundance of volume and financial growth.
In most professions, we’re trained to treat others as valuable customers who should receive white glove service. I pattern serving my clients at this same level.
When agreeing to represent my clients, I make it my sole mission to clearly understand their needs and expectations. Then, I work hard to achieve their expected results within an efficient timeline all while still sowing great seeds. This provides clients a memorable experience that’s so infectious in which they cant help but to tell others about my services.
Time after time my business has increased from existing clients referring their loved ones, repeat clients looking to work with me again, and from new sources which have read my client reviews online. So many of my clients have recommended their friends, colleagues, and family members who too have also repeated this trend.
I feel safe to say that at least 95% of my business is received through client referrals. It’s helped me to maintain steady to higher levels of business growth for myself year after year. I’m so blessed to witness the growth and friendships gained over the 7 years of my real estate career! So many of my clients have recommended their friends, colleagues and family members who too have also repeated the trend!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a Real Estate Brokerage Firm Owner with 7 years of experience. New to owning a brokerage firm in North Carolina. I began as Broker in 2016 and have trended growth of about $70 million in real estate sales. I have assisted about 250 families so far.
My client base has increased to include mountain regions, lake attractions, Air BnB, new construction, investment portfolio, land, rural counties. I’ve covered areas to include 40+ counties within North Carolina and main areas such as: Raleigh Triangle, Charlotte metro, Winston-Salem Triad.
I am most proud of the impression I’ve left with others and the seeds deposited towards helping families achieve wealth through real estate investment and sales.
I often recite the slogan “From Level to Level we Grow”, because my sole purpose is to witness clients gain happiness over the years from the homes they’ve purchased and sold. Witnessing families maintain healthy lifestyles in their new homes. Also, witnessing the wealthy profits attained by sellers who sold their investments.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I often receive a text, email or calls from prior clients. Some wanting to say “hello”, while others are sharing photos of how they’ve decorated their new home. I’ve been invited to my clients’ baby showers, birthdays and wedding events. Each year I send prior clients a greeting card and include a family portrait to show how thankful I am for their continuous support. I foster brand loyalty by sowing a special Closing gift basket to each client that’s hand crafted with special goodies to enjoy; leaving a lasting memory.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I’ve had so many moments of resilience through years of changes from both the real estate industry and personal growth. However, there’s something special about living in your purpose in which you refuse to quit no matter how difficult it looks. That’s me! Simply enjoying what I do daily while allowing the journey to lead me to higher, rewarding levels.
