We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tavia Carmack. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tavia below.
Alright, Tavia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
There’s this thing that some of us say, “I want to eat and not gain weight”. lol. With that being said I wanted to provide healthy yet delicious 5 star meals on a budget. We customize each experience tailored to your liking. I would go to a 5 star restaurant and want to create meals on that taste level without breaking the bank. I started selling dinners comparable to high end restaurants for half the price. During the covid10 pandemic when the restaurants were closed my business took off. One of my main goals is to ensure we live longer so I cook very clean and I also try to stay away from sodium as much as possible. Serving Gods people just makes me feel good just like food, it’s my love language.
Tavia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always has a passion for food, I can Create a meal out of almost anything and it still be delicious! I started working in the church kitchen at a very young age, from setting the table to serving to learning recipes. I can dream about something I want to eat and deliver the taste I dreamed of to a plate. My love for people and seeing their happy faces after eating made me want to provide that feeling lol. I do not cut any corners I love clean and healthy food with an elegant look! What sets me apart from most that I can curate almost any experience possible with the willingness to help when sometimes people can’t afford the aesthetics I try to help as much as possible. My deep knowledge and passion is a gift from God. My customers love me because they know I’m going to work with them, we can brainstorm together to ensure you get what you need.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My social media audience was built by simply being myself. I love food and I travel places just to eat, I cook things in a unique way and I show that. I think it grabs the audience attention by seeing we could both be cooking the same thing and have different outcomes. Small tips and lots of engagement with your followers.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
I wouldn’t so much say a “side hustle” more like a hobby! I truly enjoy cooking I’m always in the kitchen. Then I was asked to cater for someone and I was thinking to myself I could do this everyday! Now my catering company is growing. My key milestone was when I made my first 10k and I knew from there keep going keep pushing and leveling up.
