We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tatyana Gluzberg. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tatyana below.
Alright, Tatyana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
Dr. Gluzberg is Board Certified in Family Medicine, Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine, and Certified in Skin Cancer Medicine, with over 38 years of experience. She has over 10 years of active training and certifications in lifestyle and anti-aging medicine.
Tatyana worked as a family medicine physician in Murrells Inlet, and saw much success in her practice, even being awarded the Herald’s Best Choice Award in 2018 in Best Primary Physician category. When the Covid-19 pandemic began, Dr. Gluzberg realized the importance of disease prevention and staying healthy. As she likes to say: “we are all in the same storm, but in different boats”. The healthier one is, the stronger the boat to weather the storm. “My philosophy of care is personalized medicine, where spending more time with my patients means I can address their whole health for their whole life, and develop long-term relationships with my patients, centered on personalized care. My emphasis is on preventing chronic diseases through integration, education, and lifestyle changes.”
She also realized that to practice medicine the way she wanted to, she needed to open her own practice.
To be ready for a pivot in her career she went through years of training of anti-aging medicine, nutritions, aesthetic, skin cancer, lipidology, telemedicine, and board certification in Life Style Medicine.
She loved the fun atmosphere of the Market Common and due to all of the healthy/wellness stores in that area, she thought her Vitality Center would fit in great. Last fall, she purchased her location for the Center, and MD4Vitality opened on May 5th, 2021.
Tatyana contemplated the name of her clinic for a long time, but when she discovered that the word Vitality meant the stage of being strong and healthy, she knew it was perfect.
There were many challenges. One was insurance providers. At MD4Vitality, we believe in healthcare the way it should be – where the doctor develops a personal relationship with their patients and determines health goals based on the patient’s needs and not that of an insurance provider. The decision was then made to not accept any forms of insurance.
Another challenge turned into one of MD4Vitality’s greatest assets. Dr. Gluzberg was set on having one-on-one contact with every patient, thus not hiring any other staff. The positive: each of MD4Vitality’s patients has direct contact with Dr. Gluzberg – when they call, they don’t talk to a receptionist, or a nurse or physician’s assistant; Tatyana answers every call and text herself. The challenge: wearing the many hats and learning how to do all these roles herself. She now had to also learn how to be an entrepreneur and business owner – so she completed Women in Entrepreneurship course at Cornell University.
Her advice to young professionals is to not wait. If you have a goal, a dream – go for it. Tatyana was interested in anti-aging medicine for many years, but kept waiting. She now wishes she’s gone out on her own sooner. You’ll never feel like you’re fully ready, but if you truly desire something you will figure out the way.

Tatyana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
At MD4Vitality, I deal with the root cause of your illness, rather than prescribing therapies that only temporarily suppress the symptoms. I believe that excellent healthcare can be achieved only through one-on-one interaction and individualized care that is centered on you – the patient. I spend time with you, exploring any lifestyle and environmental factors that may be affecting your health and preventing you from living your life to its fullest potential.
MD4Vitality is neither conventional medicine nor lifestyle “anti-aging” medicine. I use an integrative approach, combining the best conventional therapies with the latest techniques and treatments in lifestyle and anti-aging medicine for optimal results.
My program starts with gut health evaluation in order to understand the root cause of Gastro-Intestinal dysfunction, followed by a thorough detox program. I believe that one cannot have a healthy life without a healthy gut. Based on the results from labs and tests I perform, I create an individualized approach to address each patient’s needs – there is no “one size fits all” approach in my practice. Along with healing the gut and maintaining its health with meaningful lifestyle changes, I also focus on whole body detoxication. One of the cornerstones of detox is the lymphatic system – network of tissue and organs whose primary duty is to rid the body of toxins and waste, and help with immune response. To promote lymphatic drainage and detox, I utilize the Flowpresso machine.
Your lymphatic health should be one of your top health goals, as it plays a crucial role in every aspect of well-being, including ensuring a robust immune system and your body’s ability to lose body fat.
By using a combination of compression, PEMF, far infrared heat and deep pressure, FLOWpresso supports lymphatic drainage and the opening of the body’s detoxing pathways. Flowpresso makes the lymph fluid move easily through the nodes and tissues, making sure the lymph fluid doesn’t get trapped anywhere and cleans your body effectively.
Now more than ever, it’s vital to have all the tools my patients need to keep their bodies strong and resilient, building foundational health designed to support overall wellness against unwanted elements. Thus, I believe anyone could be my patient and benefit from my program. If you feel that your current health goals are not being met, and you struggle with weight management, gut dysfunction, fatigue, anxiety, sleep deprivation, and more: come see me.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What helped me was over a decade of working as a family physician in Murrells Inlet, establishing a great reputation among over two thousand patients that I saw during my practice. I believe in being a life-long learner, and constantly seek to improve my knowledge, education and obtain new certifications. I seek to be an active member of our community.
Patient testimonial: “Dr. Gluzberg is skilled in both listening and in problem-solving. She combines her medical expertise with common sense and addresses all issues to achieve healing and wellness for all of us patients. I have benefitted greatly from her medical experience, efficiency, and gentle sense of humor. We are fortunate to have a doctor of this high caliber in our area.”

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Dr. Gluzberg is resilient not only professionally, but in her duty for her country. As a foreign graduate, she believed in the importance of giving back to the country that has given her so much. Upon obtaining her medical license, Tatyana began her journey in the Army Reserve. It was a difficult journey – beginning a military career at 49 year old was no easy task, but she persevered and successfully completed her military contract, being honorably discharged nine year later as a Major of US Army.
Tatyana’s ever-evolving life, military experience and career has aided her to become more in-tune with herself and her patients, which helps her connect with people on a deeper level.
