We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tatyana Collins. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tatyana below.
Tatyana , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
Going from idea to execution was not a fast thing. The idea started in 2012, when I decided that I wanted to pursue fashion and start my own store. I seen someone close to me start her boutique and I wanted to follow behind her. Now the business didn’t start until 7 years later in my freshman year of college. Me and my mama decided that it was the right time and we took this idea that I have been hanging onto and executed it. I thought that starting a business would be fun, but it was a lot of work. There are so many things you have to research and understand before you are able to be up in running. From ordering the clothing and setting up bank accounts and our website it was a lot of work, but it paid off soon when we launched.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
There are many strategies that businesses can use to grow their clientele. One of the most effective is to focus on creating an exceptional customer experience. This means going above and beyond when it comes to customer service, providing personalized recommendations and solutions, and ensuring that each customer feels valued and appreciated.
Another important strategy is to offer incentives and promotions that incentivize customers to return and refer their friends and family. This could include offering discounts or loyalty rewards, sending out personalized offers and promotions, or even hosting events and activities that engage and excite your customer base.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
While my audience is still building on social, I have found ways that you can draw people to look at your page and potentially become customers. It’s all about how much you are posting and what you are posting. I have learned that you have to post as frequently as possible and about different things to keep your audience engaged. Being consistent increases visibility. The second thing is engaging with your audience. Responding, asking for feedback, and even hosting Q&A sessions helps create a dialogue with potential customers. Lastly, using paid ads. Paid ads on social media platforms can help increase your reach and target a specific audience.
