We recently connected with Tatianna Wells and have shared our conversation below.
Tatianna, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think in order to be successful in this world, you have to give everything you’ve got to something you love. You can never give up no matter how hard the journey will become. And trust, it will get rough but you have to pick up and keep going. Nothing great it is built overnight. Greatness is created. Never doubt your success. Put your heart soul sweat & tears into what you are passionate about. It will all pay off in the long run. Im still learning that now till this day. But the good thing about chasin your dreams is that you don’t have to be asleep to experience them.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am the founder and CEO of Blaqe Cosmetics. We are a black owned vegan cosmetic company and we strive to provide affordable yet high quality cruelty free products to queens all around the world. I have been in business for 2 years now and still going strong. At Blaqe Cosmetics we offer a variety of products from lipglosses to lipsticks, highlighters and eyeshadows and growing as we speak. We plan to offer a full line of cosmetics for all of your everyday makeup needs. I now offer makeup services as well in addition to selling my own cosmetics. Since a young queen, Ive been into any makeup I could get my hands on. I just loved the feeling of “being made up”. It made me feel like a princess. Throughout my teens my makeup obsession only began to grow drastically. It became apart of me. When you shop with me at Blaqe Cosmetics you can expect to receive nothing but authenticity and passion. I always want to stand out. Do things that that are not in the norm. With makeup the possibilities are endless. What sets me aside from any other cosmetic company is my quality and customer service. My message and overall experience. At Blaqe Cosmetics we strive to uplift and educate women around the world with one stroke of lipgloss at a time.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Growing your audience on social media can be tough. I still work on that till this day. I think whats important is to find your target audience. Continue to post consistently. No matter what. People will become familiar with your brand just because of your post. Something is always familiar to us once we see it often or constantly. Also always remember to post quality photos of your products or services. That helps with the way your brand is viewed which in then can result in a potential customer following your brand, Just off presentation. I continue to follow these steps and also implement new ones as I grow as a company.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
If you are a struggling entrepreneur and overall just need some guidance, I recommend reading a book by Rochelle Graham- Campbell titled 90 Days to CEO. In this book she talks about the ins and outs of the business. The wins and the failures. Her story is inspiring and I highly recommend it to my fellow queens to help throughout the way.
