Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tatianna Scott. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tatianna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
My first client was via the Etsy platform. I was of course very nervous in that it was gonna be a case of me sending something I handmade to a stranger in hopes they would enjoy it as much as I did. Knowing there were other shops they could’ve chose from that were more well-established or perhaps had a better layout.. but alas, it was me they chose! I remember the nerves I had waiting for them to leave a review hoping they would be content.
Then it happened! The review came back.. it was a glowing one with a photo of them wearing earrings I made! The amount of joy I felt in that moment was so affirming to me like, my destiny was finally materializing.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Tatianna, I consider myself an “earthy” type of individual, and I really wanted to create a concept of something that stayed true to me and my values. Gemstones are from the planet and they have metaphysical properties that can improve peoples’ quality of life.
With that, I brainstormed about what I could do, that I would also enjoy.. I have always been a “diyer”, coming up with different hair pieces or making something for pets I’ve had so creating was never a foreign concept for me. I do love clothing/jewelry, those things are apart of things you can just look at and get an idea of someone’s personality. So creating jewelry, especially from gemstones was an idea I figured I could interject some of my personality in, and share them with others!

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Currently, my business is stocked in a vendor space as well as online. I am on various platforms such as IG and Depop. The vendor space is located in Roswell at the Westside Market store.

Have you ever had to pivot?
The goal for certain is fulltime entrepreneurship. I do however understand in reality you have to have a consistent income in order to be able to survive. For a time I did attempt to only rely on my business for income but I was sure to be realistic about the fact that, that was not the consistent stream I needed in order to take care of things. So I’ve always had to bounce back and forth between a 9-5 and my business but in a way, it always affirms my goal in that I could become complicit in just working however, I’m always working to get back to making business be the main focus.
