We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tatianna Mack . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tatianna below.

Tatianna, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

This year I told myself that I would no longer let fear control me. In June of 2023 I went to an open reception at the Tanya Weddemire Gallery the exhibition on view for “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” by N Carlos J. I was so moved by his work. So I took a risk by pitching my idea to the founder/curator about hosting a meetup. We set up a meeting and I pitched my idea. Tanya Weddemire & Dianne Gibbs agreed to having the meetup.

So we had the meetup on 6/24/23 and it was a success! Now I work with the gallery.

Tatianna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I started my blog/instagram page because one of my good friends Janelle, noticed that I went to museums and galleries a lot. So she suggested that I start a blog/instagram page dedicated to all things art.

I have always loved art since I was kid. I remember going to the MET on school trip and I was hooked ever since.

I want people to know that I can do it, they can too. Being a creative is hard, especially in the art world.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect about being a creative is connecting with people. That people are understanding and connecting to the work that I’m doing.
