We were lucky to catch up with Tatiana Rose recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tatiana, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I’ve been brought in an artistic and musically gifted family whose talents influenced me to always be in the performing arts. Graduating from a performing arts highschool I was determined and committed to becoming a full time dancer upon graduating. Due to an unfortunate injury that set me back from the others I decided to let go of that dream. Upon returning home to LA where I was born I started hosting parties and events and although that was very fun, it was not fulfilling because I feel and have a passion for music. So I began to learn how to dj and the rest is history

Tatiana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve been the entertainment industry for as long as I can remember. Whether that was dancing, singing in choir, modeling, cheerleading for a top indoor football team, acting and producing. I have an uncle who was a dj and I would go to his events with him and learn a lot which subconsciously I did not know I would one day keep all of that knowledge and actually become a dj myself. My aunt was in radio and I would accompany her to the station as well. Another uncle of mine is in a Mexican band as lead singer and my other uncle a drum player.
Music has just always been a part of my upbringing and I always say I truly do feel the vibrations and frequencies on a whole different level than the average person which is a gift. Within the past year and even these last 6 months my dj career growth has been absolutely skyrocketing and there’s so much more to come! I would have to say one of my most proudest moments to date was to be able to DJ for STL’s very own CITY sc soccer team twice! Being on that big of a stage just made everything feel full circle and fueling my purpose because I don’t want to be put in a certain box about DJing at only local clubs and bars but to also be able to do festival level stages which I have also accomplished this year with tequila fest.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect for me is being able to bring memories of certain songs that people may have forgotten about and seeing their faces light up when they hear them. Along with the comments after my sets people saying they absolutely enjoyed the music and hearing everyone sing songs to the top of their lungs is such a rewarding feeling and makes me feel like I’m really walking in my purpose

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
A goal of mine is for women in the industry especially Latin women to be inspired to chase their dreams whole heartedly like I have and doing so unapologetically. Many industries are male dominated and being a woman who has been able to create huge moments in my sets is a testament that we are definitely capable and talented to do these things!
