We were lucky to catch up with Tasha D recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tasha, thanks for joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
If I could go back in time, I would’ve definitely started sooner.
Although, I was already in the beauty industry working for MAC in my early 20s, I was boo’d up and was “playing” the wifey role and missed out on some amazing opportunities trying to hold it down.
With no real responsibilities holding me back, I wish I would’ve taken more chances, took on those out-of-state opportunities, and really tap into the fearless drive I have now BUT everything happens for a reason.

Hey! My name is Tasha D of Tasha D Beauty at Blend Beautique. I’m a wife, a mother of 3 beautiful girls, and a makeup artist/beauty educator.
I’m now hitting on over 15 years in the beauty industry. 8 of those years being a full-time entrepreneur/business owner.
I really can’t say what truly sparked my interest. I just remembered being a 14yr old girl who liked makeup.
That like, turned to love, and ultimately to my passion. Shoutout to all those makeup kits I received for Christmas that year lol
The journey was journeying lol I’ve experienced moments that made me question myself as an artist and was eventually ready to give it all
up!
Those moments really shaped me into the artist and educator I am today.
Im the definition of a beauty makeup artist.
Regardless of the look, my artistry will ALWAYS enhance your natural features. You’re going to get skin over here!
Although I apply makeup for any occasion, I have a strong love for teaching.
I offer group, one on one, and virtual classes to everyday women who’s wanting to create and master their personalized makeup routine.
Listen, filling in your brows to perfection can put a pep to anyone’s step! I love to see their confidence build as they complete by classes.
Because I love teaching so much I couldn’t leave out my fellow makeup artist BUT my true passion is aspiring MUAs.
The drive, the eagerness, the willingness to learn, I literally see a mini Tasha in each of them.
My goal is to equip them with all the tools, information, and resources to become successful beauty professionals.
Now with any journey, there will be some
stumbling blocks but some mistakes can be avoided and that’s where I come in.
From building self-confidence, to learning the basics of business, to the art of artistry, when you finish with me you’ll demand AND receive the respect needed in such a saturated market.

Simple. Customer Service and my personality.
I believe my background in retail was needed and truly molded me into an excellent business owner.
I treat my clients how I want to be treated. I hold myself to the same standards I put forth to my clients.
And we have a great time!
I love to create an experience for my clients. Rather we’re having a therapy session, jamming to some R&B, or laughing our butts off, through their experience they know I appreciate them!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Reviews! I didn’t know people be on Google looking at reviews like that.
I show off my reviews like its an award I just won lol
I’m proud of them and it registers with potential clients.
During my booking process, I always ask how did they hear about me.
9 times out of 10 it’s from a Google review or personal recommendation.
