We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tasha Butler a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tasha, thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe that you must have a passion for what you are doing. That true passion will help you push through those hard times . Your focus on bettering your company each year for you and you customers show you care. I make sure to write down things I want to improve and sometimes I survey my clients asking them what would you like to see more of ,etc
Tasha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Im Tasha , Owner of Pretty Rose Hair Studio located in South Carolina. I specialize in healthy hair care and the services I provide are silk presses, sew in extensions, crochet, loc retwists. I love providing education along with servicing my clients hair. I believe that’s the first step to setting up a plan for your healthy hair journey. I started doing hair when I was in 6th grade for fun until I realized I was actually good at it and my big sister brung it to my attention that I could actually create a career out of it . I was able to graduate high school and got my cosmetology license at the same time. Over the years this industry as grown so much but also repeated itself. You must stay up to date on trends and take classes to further educate yourself.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe providing the education along with really caring for the hair. Most clients aren’t aware of what causes damage and what prevents it.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth has been the number one source. Someone seeing my clients hair asking who serviced them . I’m so thankful .
