Tasha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?

There’s so many testimonies I’ve received, so it’s difficult to choose only one. I’d say the most memorable ones are the ones where my clients haven’t been able to articulate the impact I’ve had on them in words. Language doesn’t even suffice. Whew!! That does something to me every time! Instead they use tears, head shakes, long stares, & deeps sighs of relief to convey their appreciation for what I’ve done in their lives.

I recall one client of mine in particular who fought back tears & gave me the most eagle-eyed stare, only to have the words, “You just don’t know what you’ve done for my life Tasha. I can’t even tell you where my life was headed, had you not entered my story.” She gulped deeply, & stared at me in silence, & till this day still asks how she can be of service to me. She constantly reminds me that, “Hopefully one day, she’ll be able to put into words” what my services have meant to her.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Are you ready for this one? My journey started with Holy Spirit telling me to resign from my career! I’d worked in the entertainment, public relations, & communications industry as far as CNN & Time Warner, as well as under the former Obama administration & for the former First Lady. I’d also worked as a high-performing classroom teacher in several school districts, & the classroom is where I resigned after many years.

Here’s where my story really took off! I’m a Christ follower, so I take my cues from Holy Spirit.

Listening to Him led me to write my first book, “Teach Supernaturally: 3 Minute Devotionals That Will Transform Your Teaching!” to serve as the go-to resource for parents, teachers, & those who work with youth – to gain transformational results in disciplining & teaching kids & teenagers. It has since been featured in Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, & even Walmart!

From there, I launched two Christian streetwear clothing lines: Drippin’ Proverbs 31 & Faith Walk It Out. Not too long afterward, I began mentoring & coaching women who were having trouble hearing God’s voice & needed help building a close relationship with Him. My reach started to expand globally, so I now only offer that service through a self-paced online course called, “Breakthrough to Intimacy with God.”

During the pandemic, I started doing an IG live series teaching others about the nine gifts Holy Spirit gives us. The interest grew to the point where I wrote an e-book, “Gifts of Holy Spirit” to help people identify specifically which gifts they had been given. The demand was so great, I began doing “Gifts of Holy Spirit Activation Sessions,” where I would personally ask Holy Spirit which gifts someone had & teach them how to begin using & strengthening them.

In 2021, I launched “The Soul Healing Experience” where I teach people how to partner with Holy Spirit to create a plan specifically designed to help you boldly achieve two goals that are unique to you, as you rise above your current circumstances & cultivate a super close relationship with God. It’s 1 month of DEEP INNER HEALING work! During this experience, I work virtually with clients who are struggling to do what God wants them to do instead of allowing fear, shame, rejection, low self-confidence, hurt from the past, people pleasing, & other soul & heart wounds hinder them.

My most recent undertaking has been “Dangerously Awake Daughters of the King Weekend,” which is the in-person official sisterhood of the queens who refuse to settle for less than the life Christ promised! It is only available to the women who have completed the “Soul Healing Experience” & it is a weekend for them to consecrate, celebrate, & connect so they can continue making Kingdom impact! During that weekend, they enter a sacred space to slow down & practice the rhythms of rest so their impact on this Earth can be sustainable.

I recently began doing public speaking engagements on various soul healing topics including, teaching women how to heal from heartbreak. To witness women grab hold of their freedom, has been such a humbling experience!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I believe the fruit of a person’s life speaks the loudest. Or as we used to say back in the day, “The proof is in the pudding.” It’s easy for someone to “tell” you what to do, but unless people see that your directions actually work in your very own life, it’s difficult to make a case. They think, “How do you want me to invest in something that isn’t even working for you!? You are your strongest selling point. I believe that is what has built my reputation in my market the most. People observe my life, & whether it’s consciously or subconsciously, they are taking mental notes on if what I’m saying actually works. Once they recognize I am a byproduct of what I teach, it’s smooth sailing from there. You can’t debate good fruit. I believe my other strong contender is-I’m passionate about what I do. Passion is contagious!

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Personally, I’d say there are a couple of heavy hitters I could use to answer this question, but if I had to choose 1 strategy, I’d say-“consistency.” Consistency separates the champions from the “trend followers.”Time has this way of weeding people out who don’t belong. If your heart isn’t in it or you truly aren’t convinced that it’s a lane where you can get people results, you’ll tap out sooner than later. Entrepreneurship isn’t for short-term thinking folks. It’s for those who want to witness long-term impact, no matter how long it takes. I focus on remaining consistent in my messaging as well as the frequency in which I speak publicly.
