Tarsha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Through my solo travels around the world, I began to connect with expats and women in other countries. Through these
travels I discovered that these women had left their country of origin to pursue opportunities that were not available to them in their native country. Even fearful at times they seize these opportunities.

So, I wanted to expose more women in the US to traveling abroad, seeing the world, and recognizing the opportunities that were available outside of the US,

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I wanted to travel, and I joined a travel group. I traveled with this group for two years and began to see the world. However, during Covid, that travel group closed. Wanting to expose more to international travel, I decided to create a group of my own. Our goal is to help mature Black women professionals remove barriers to international travel by taking the hassle out of international travel through education and guidance on country norms, culture, and safety — so they can confidently embrace the travel lifestyle they deserve.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

We have an active Facebook Group community where we engage with our group members and share travel experiences. Our Facebook group can be found here at https://www.facebook.com/groups/blacktravelersint

We also offer specials to previous customers and celebrate their birthday and special events.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

Social media and referrals from past clients have been the best source of new clients for me.
