Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tari Fields. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tari, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name of my company is actually my gamer handle it’s who I am. Before photography I was a Cheesecake Queen and a lot of people call me T. So when I got my gaming system I naturally decided my handle was Qween Tea and I spelt it differently because I am different my name is different Tari pronounced Terry. So all in all I am Qween Tea and I do photography and that’s how the name came to be.

Tari, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Tari Fields and I am a disabled Army Veteran and mom of 2 teenagers. I am a brand new business that is making big waves in the short time I have been established. At the beginning of 2022, I started to take photos at my gym Baker’s MMA, and fell in love with capturing motion, especially jiujitsu. In April my husband bought me my 1st point and shoot camera. Over the summer I decided maybe I could go to school and learn some things. I started school in August and things just blew up from there between August- December I was published in 20 magazines. I chose to put myself out there. The worst that could happen is the magazine said no. For the 2nd publication I not only made the cover but the back cover as well and an artist profile inside. In 2023 I successfully was hired and shot fan photography at Super Bowl 57. I’ve done quinceaneras and non-profit events. Dipping my toe in as many genres as I can to identify the niche want to specialize in. I think what sets us apart is that we specialize in moments. We pay attention to the action of the event and capture that look between father and daughter, the love and excitement of a gender reveal, and the tears of happiness shed, the excitement of your team winning. The moments you want to remember for a lifetime. I do pose photography as well but our specialty is the moments. When you as a customer call us we offer a free consultation so we can give you the most accurate price possible. We ask about your concept ideas, location ideas, and wardrobe (do you need a wardrobe because we have a huge and ever-growing client closet), we also ask about your budget so that we can curate a package specific to you. We want everyone to be able to afford beautiful pictures. We are a family ran a business I have 2 assistants who help facilitate during photoshoots as well as a standby photographer on retainer for when I have scheduling conflicts so that everyone who needs our help can get it when they need it. At Qween Tea Photography we take great care to curate your edited photos to give you the best options and prices out there.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is making something that people will cherish for a lifetime and I captured a pivotal moment in someone’s life so that they could be in the moment to experience it. Making people happy is why I do what I do.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I have built my audience on my business page originally by becoming a digital creator on my personal page. I was posting videos making reels and was asked by Facebook to be a digital creator and recently hit 1k mind you I haven’t been at this very long so I know its not terribly a lot but we are proud of each and every one of our followers and those who choose to follow us on Facebook and Instagram on a regular. I continue to foster my presence by posting regularly different shoots or concepts I want to shoot. Make sure to follow us because I am always doing discounted shoots and giveaways you don’t want to miss out.
