Hi Tara & David, thanks for joining us today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
If we could go back in time, would we start our business earlier or later?
The real answer might ruffle a few feathers, but here it is:
We started exactly when we realized corporate America thought cold pizza, boring happy hours, and the generic congratulations emails could replace respect for our time, energy, creativity, fair treatment and real appreciation.
Earlier? Absolutely not.
We needed those years of being the go to problem solvers, the unofficial leaders, the fixers of everything no one else wanted to touch. That was our boot camp. That was our training. That was where we learned how to run full departments with nothing but caffeine, grit, and sheer internal screaming.
Later? No way.
Waiting any longer would have meant staying stuck in careers that taught us a lot but valued us a little. We would have missed the exact moment the world started shifting and business owners everywhere began drowning in outdated systems, endless tasks, and broken processes. We walked out right when the timing said, “If you stay any longer, you are just choosing chaos at this point.”
When we finally launched THE HELLO LLC, we were in that life stage where you either keep climbing a ladder that leads nowhere or you say, “Actually, I think I will build my own.”
We chose to build.
And we built with fire.
The truth is, every frustrating meeting, every twelve hour day, every long weekend full of work, every moment of feeling undervalued and overworked prepared us to serve our clients at the highest level. Corporate America was our mentor, our villain, our teacher, and our reminder that we were meant for more. It showed us exactly what not to do and exactly what business owners desperately need.
So do we wish we started sooner or later? Not a chance.
We started at the moment when our skills, our frustration, our talent, and our purpose finally teamed up and said, “Enough build other dreams. It’s time to bust a move and build our own. Let’s go.”
It was … Right on time – Perfectly aligned!

Most people start a business because they have a dream. We started ours because we had enough.
– Enough of doing the work of three people.
– Enough of watching companies burn out their teams.
– Enough of pretending “busy” was the same thing as “successful.”
THE HELLO LLC was our rebellion that turned into a revolution.
The “ahh haa” moment was when we sat across the conference table from each other as two executives and realized we were solving million dollar problems in companies that barely gave us a thank you email, let alone pay us properly.
That was our breaking point.
Or depending on how you look at it, our BREAKTHROUGH!
I am Tara, and alongside David, we are the founders of THE HELLO LLC, a company that was born the moment we realized corporate America had trained us for entrepreneurship without meaning to.
Twenty five years in operations, systems, project management, and leadership for me, and twenty three years in business development, marketing, sales, and executive management for David gave us a front row seat to everything that works and everything that absolutely does not inside a business.
We worked with small boutique firms all the way to giants like American Airlines, GE, HP, and Dell. And no matter the size, the same symptoms kept showing up again and again: chaos, burnout, too many humans doing the jobs of many, no systems, no automation, no clarity, and no budget for more people.
In other words, the business version of juggling flaming swords while riding a unicycle on a tight rope. It wasn’t working!
We lived it. We survived it. We mastered it. Then we decided to fix it for everyone else.
That is how THE HELLO LLC came to life. Next May marks ten years of helping businesses stop drowning in tasks and start operating with strategy, clarity, and efficiency. Today, we are a Web3 focused business transformation agency that helps companies with under twenty five employees optimize their systems, automate their workload, integrate AI agents, pivot from Web2 to Web3, and create immersive customer experiences in the Metaverse and virtual reality.
In plain language: we help small businesses operate like big businesses without the big business budget or the big business burnout.
We design Smart Business Ecosystems that integrate AI, automation, digital workflows, customer journeys, onboarding systems, and virtual environments that increase productivity by over ninety percent and boost customer engagement by up to eighty percent.
These are not buzzwords. They are results.
What sets us apart is simple.
We did not learn this from a course. We learned it by surviving the very problems our clients face, or having to overcome them in our roles internally. Have you ever had to pivot?
Oh, we have not just pivoted. We have professionally cartwheeled.
Our biggest pivot came long before THE HELLO LLC ever existed, back when we were two highly skilled corporate executives silently questioning our life choices in fluorescent lit conference rooms. You know the rooms — the ones where the thermostat is always set to “Arctic Tundra” and half the team is pretending to look engaged while silently planning their exit strategy.
Our first major pivot happened the moment we realized we were helping companies generate millions in results… while slowly evaporating under policies, politics, and “innovation meetings” that could have been three bullet points in an email. That is when we said, “If we can fix their chaos with duct tape and determination, imagine what we could do if we actually built something of our own.”
So we pivoted into our first venture, HELLO Wellness. Nutrition, mindset, leadership, better living … basically everything we needed to survive the corporate jungle. We grew huge teams, impacted thousands of people… and then discovered yet another pivot waiting for us around the corner.
We kept seeing the same thing:
No systems.
No automation.
No clarity.
No sustainability.
Just entrepreneurs duct taping their business together and praying the weekend came before the burnout did.
So we pivoted again!
This time into the world of systems, AI automation, Web3, and smart business ecosystems.
Not because it was trendy, but because we desperately needed it and so did our clients … the innovation that corporate America refused to teach them.
Every pivot we made came from the same realization:
If something is broken, do not complain about it. Build something better.
And that mindset is the reason THE HELLO LLC exists today – and why we named our business services monthly membership: “THE PIVOT.”
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
Our cofounder story is not the typical “we met at a networking event” or “our eyes locked over a spreadsheet.”
No.
Ours started long before THE HELLO LLC ever existed.
We were already in a relationship. Yes … the romantic kind.
Plot twist: we have been doing life and business together for almost fourteen years (this June).
The real story is this:
– Two executives.
– One relationship.
– Zero free time.
And one life changing moment when we realized, “We are exhausted from fixing everything for everyone else… How about we build our dreams?”
Life did what it does best … shoved us into an opportunity disguised as frustration.
We jumped in head first and started our first company together while still working full time in corporate America.
That meant sacrificing Friday nights, weekends, holidays, lunch breaks, and any other sliver of time that was not claimed by conference calls or deadlines.
Our date nights looked like strategy sessions.
Our Saturdays looked like content creation, pop-up shops, and leadership seminars.
Our vacations looked like personal development conferences.
It was chaos with purpose.
HELLO Wellness was our first chapter, and from there, everything evolved. We saw the lack of systems everywhere, so we built better ones … mainly for our use.
We learned the power of automation.
We developed digital solutions.
Eventually, we pivoted into Web3, AI, virtual experiences, and smart business ecosystems because that is where the future was headed … and we were not about to get left behind.
Now here we are:
– Ten years as business partners.
– (Almost) Fourteen years together as a couple.
– Running a global company while living abroad.
Today we work from Bangkok, Thailand, sipping coconut coffee while serving clients across the United States, Australia, and the UK — and soon Thailand itself.
Some couples build a life together.
We built a life, a business, and an entire ecosystem.
And honestly, it has been the greatest adventure we never saw coming.
