We were lucky to catch up with Tara Caputo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Hi my name is Tara Caputo. I’m spiritual advisor, owner of My Little Angel Holistic Shop, author of Prayers for Guidance and co-host of The Coffee & Sage Show (Podcast). I am a simple person who appreciates life and tries to let others find their path. I have worked all my life, whether it be small jobs to big corporate jobs. But I never expected to own my own business. I always felt it would be hard, stressful, time consuming and possible financial stress if i failed.
When I started reading I wanted to make it more than something i just did when I can, but into something that I can share with people to help them on their journeys, but not only with readings, but with healings, creativity, enjoyment and with easement.
So in 2016 I took the leap to move to North Carolina and start my own business from the ground up without even knowing anyone.
I was more scared than anything. But when your forced to take that leap by your inner gut, you do it. It was not only the best decision I made for me and my family but it made me realize how many people I could help, meet and guide them on their journeys and help heal. This journey also helped my bring my inner light to life. I’m so thankful for all those opportunities and blessings. In October my business, My Little Angel Holistic Shop, is celebrating its 6th year anniversary being open.
I wanted to share my story because anything is possible when you believe in yourself and you have the right people around you to make that happen.
So when someone tells you NO make that NO a YES. Everyone can achieve anything they want as long as they put their mind to it. And remember One Day At A Time

I’m spiritual advisor located in Mooresville, NC. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What helped me build my reputation within my market was word of mouth. Yes, I do advertise but word of mouth has been my biggest boost for me. I am so thankful for my clientele they are all amazing. For me when I read it’s has to peaceful, calming, and guiding. I want my clients to leave with the guidance they need to take their next steps. I feel that sense of direction for your clients, that experience of positive energy, relief is what builds your business
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In 2012 my life changed forcing me to make changes for me and for my family, My mom had passed and it made me realize to be around family more. Not to work to pay bills, stress and not enjoy life or what I do. It made me realize I wanted to have my independence with work so I can be with my family more. That there will always be bills but doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy life once in awhile.
So it made me take the leap to focus on moving and open up my own business
