We recently connected with Tara Airhart and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
After spending several years in the real estate industry, I felt a calling placed upon my heart that it was time for a change. God pushed me to create a real estate brokerage rooted in serving the community well not – only through real estate, but in life as well. Dwell Real Estate Group was established to elevate the real estate experience from the first interaction, through the transaction, and beyond. Guiding someone through their home sale or purchase is much more than just a deal to us. Finding someone a home where they will walk through seasons of life and create memories with their family is one of the most important purchases of a lifetime and can have many emotions attached to it. We want to walk our clients through this process with the utmost integrity and continue to build relationships with them for years to come. Giving back to our community financially and through service is the heart of our company and we find great joy in supporting several ministries and organizations.

Tara, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Tara Airhart was born and raised in Richmond, VA. Her father has been a builder for 43 years and her fondest childhood memories are all from being on a home construction site. After meeting her husband, Jonathan, life began to move at a pretty fast pace. Jonathan was a fighter pilot in the Air Force at the time. One week after they got married they moved to Washington DC to begin language school where they both studied Ukrainian full time for a year. After that, they were off on a two year cultural immersion adventure to Kyiv, Ukraine where Jonathan was obtaining a master’s degree and they began expanding their family. During this time they were also immersed in serving American families who were passing through Kyiv during their adoption process. After their return to the US, they finished out their time at Langley Air Force Base, VA before relocating to Memphis, TN upon Jonathan’s acceptance of a job as a pilot for FedEx. Once arriving in Memphis, they welcomed their fourth child to complete their family. Their three daughters and one son are the light of their lives. After the fourth child was born Tara’s parents relocated to join them in Memphis where the plan was to flip houses with Tara’s dad running the construction aspect. Tara thought it would be a great idea to get her real estate license to be able to sell the flip houses to maximize their profits. Naturally, she began real estate school when her fourth baby was four months old. It turns out, they never flipped a single house and Tara’s career as a real estate agent took off. She is a top producer who is known for her marketing, work ethic, and high ethical standards. Upon obtaining her broker’s license in 2022, Tara launched a new boutique residential real estate brokerage – Dwell Real Estate Group.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The real estate market is ever-changing, so it is incredibly important to me to stay at the forefront on knowledge in every area of the field. I am constantly studying my craft – legal documents and the annual changes to those, the best way to stage a house to get it sold quickly for top dollar, and countless hours studying the intricacies of marketing in a digital world. Anyone who gets to know me quickly realizes that I have a strong attention to detail and hold myself to the highest standards, which gives people confidence in my abilities to guide them through buying or selling their largest investment – their home.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
One thing that my years as a military wife prepared me well for is the ability to quickly adapt to my environment and meet people. Upon arriving in Memphis I dove in head first to all of the various networks that my family naturally does life in. Whether it be meeting families from school, church, the golf course, or through my husband’s work, I am constantly surrounded by people and making connections. Loving people in all seasons of life whether it leads to business or not is just part of who I am, but I am always so thankful when those connections become clients.
