Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ta’nyzha Linzer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ta’Nyzha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
If I could go back in time, I definitely wish I had started my crochet business sooner. I began crocheting when I was 10 years old, taught by my grandmother. At that point in my life, I was just starting to explore hobbies and interests, and crocheting quickly became my favorite. My grandmother’s guidance made the learning process special and enjoyable, and I’ve carried that love for crocheting with me ever since.
When I think about the potential of starting a crochet business, I realize that beginning sooner could have had a significant impact. Had I launched my business earlier, I would have had more time to refine my products, build a customer base, and learn the ins and outs of running a business. Starting earlier might have allowed me to grow my brand more effectively and take advantage of opportunities that come with being an early entrant in a market.
Starting later, on the other hand, might have meant missing out on valuable learning experiences. The knowledge and skills I’ve gained through crocheting over the years have been instrumental in shaping the vision and quality of my business. If I had waited too long, I might not have had the same depth of experience or confidence in my craft. Plus, the early memories of crocheting with my grandmother have been a key part of my business story, and those wouldn’t have been the same if I’d started much later.
Looking back, while I wish I had started my crochet business sooner, I’m grateful for the timing of when I did begin. It allowed me to grow my skills over time and turn crocheting into not just a hobby, but a passion-driven business. The experience might have been different had I started at another time, but the lessons learned and the enjoyment I’ve found in this journey would have remained the same.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Ta’Nyzha Linzer, and I’m a crochet artist who loves creating trendy, stylish pieces that stand out. I started crocheting at 10, thanks to my grandmother, and what began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion that I’ve built into a business.
In my work, I focus on making fashionable clothing and accessories that are not only handcrafted but also on-trend. From chic scarves to modern garments, I blend traditional crochet techniques with contemporary designs, offering unique pieces that fit seamlessly into today’s style.
What sets me apart is my ability to stay ahead of trends while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship that come with handmade items. I’m proud of the recognition I’ve received so far, and it motivates me to keep pushing my creativity. My goal is to offer pieces that not only look great but also make my clients feel special because they know they’re getting something truly unique.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is seeing how my work resonates with others. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about turning a simple ball of yarn into a trendy, stylish piece and then watching someone light up when they see it. Knowing that I’ve created something unique that someone will wear and enjoy is what drives me. The recognition and appreciation I receive from clients and followers make all the time and effort I put into my craft worthwhile. It’s not just about the final product but the connection it creates between me and the people who love what I do.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One story that illustrates my resilience in my crochet journey is the challenge I’ve faced in making my first sale. Despite putting in a lot of effort to create stylish, trendy pieces and consistently posting on my social media platforms, I haven’t yet been able to secure a sale. There were definitely moments when I felt discouraged and questioned whether my work was really reaching the right people.
However, instead of letting that get me down, I’ve continued to stay committed to my craft and keep posting regularly. I believe in what I’m creating, and I know that with persistence, the right audience will find my work. I’m hopeful that this article will help me connect with more people who appreciate handmade, fashionable crochet pieces and bring some traffic to my business.
