The mission behind Charm Attention Boutique is deeply rooted in my desire to create generational wealth and freedom, all while expressing myself in a unique way. Drawing inspiration from my father, who exemplified the qualities of an entrepreneur and a leader, I aim to follow in his footsteps while adding my own creative flair to the business. By blending entrepreneurship with self-expression, I hope to not only build a successful business but also leave a lasting legacy for future generations to come

Ta’Nya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m Ta’Nya Thurmond, 22 years old from Fort Worth, TX. Currently, I work full-time as a caregiver while also managing my part-time business, Charm Attention Boutique. My journey into the beauty industry began with my love for cosmetics and fashion, inspired by the compliments I received on my style and makeup. I realized that if I can confidently wear other brands, I can certainly create and rock my own.

Charm Attention Boutique offers a range of products, including cosmetics, accessories, and apparel-three areas I’ve been passionate about since childhood. Our mission is to empower women of all ages, races and backgrounds to express their unique styles through our products.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that we are planning to expand our offerings. We aim to include one-on-one business consultations, business classes, and networking events to support our customers and community. I want everyone to know that we’re committed to helping them fulfill their personal and professional aspirations through what we offer at Charm Attention Boutique.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

I kickstarted the funding for Charm Attention Boutique by selling kool-aid pickles during my junior year in high school, crazy right? As I progressed into my senior year, I took on a full-time job to secure additional resources, enabling me to fully fund and expand my business.

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.

Charm Attention Boutique’s cosmetic products are all manufactured. Prior to exploring the Alibaba app, I had limited knowledge about product manufacturing. Upon discovering the platform, I conducted thorough research and identified several cosmetic vendors that I saved for consideration. I proceeded to purchase samples from these vendors and collaborated with a makeup artist to test the products, seeking honest feedback from others. This hands-on experience taught me the importance of maintaining a steady inventory and coordinating timelines with manufacturers, especially when dealing with overseas suppliers. Managing factors such as order timing, launch dates, shipping logistics, and potential delays became crucial aspects of the business.
