Tany , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Have you ever had an amazing boss, mentor or leader leading you? Can you us a story or anecdote that helps illustrate why this person was such a great leader and the impact they had on you or their team?

One thing to understand when working under leadership, is a great leader. A great leader will lead and set you up for success. While in my professional career I owe it to my leadership who has always set me up for success, gaining knowledge from someone who is experienced will have a big outcome on who you become in the future. We have to understand, we don’t have all of the answers but having the right people in your corner professionally, you will be destined for greatness. I have had many great leaders and the reason I would put them in that category is because who I have become in my professional career.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?

I am Tany a proactive media and communications professional with 3 years of internal and 10 years of external communications, social media marketing, Analyzing and implementation of marketing communications programs for projects in the areas of advertising, promotional programs, public relations, trade shows, and internet Board communications.

I got into my industry when working for one of the biggest telecommunication company’s in the world which i have continued my journey with the company for 7 years now. I always had a passion for funeral services and technology. So after graduating with my first degree in Funeral Services and Embalming in St. Louis I decided to take on my passion in technology. One thing I will say is if you have a plan stick to it. While at the company I work for I took advantage of the tuition reimbursement and went back for my second degree in Marketing, this gave me the opportunity to pursue my passion in Marketing.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?

Always let your team know you appreciate them, have call outs on how great they are doing and compliment their work. Also be ready for uncomfortable conversations, although you are a leader ask for feedback from people you are managing, this gives you the opportunity to become a stronger leader.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?

NTF’s are intangible assets. I can not get into it. Now I know there are many intangible things we carry in our lives like, Education, self confidence, loyalty, faith, data and the list goes on. I feel NFT’s are potentially pointing at nothing, NFT’s don’t necessarily give you any level of ownership over the digital item you are buying.
