We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tanesha Moss a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tanesha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Successful people are confident and can lead themselves, as well as others. They have their own vision and mission and seek to bring it to life on a daily basis. They also know who they aren’t and don’t waste time on things that they aren’t good at or they aren’t satisfied with.
Tanesha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Tanesha Moss and I started MossBossKc in 2019 to generate additional income for my family and my love for crafting. I create custom hoodies, tees, and sweatshirts that represent my city and the endurance/challenges we face competing against others. My goal is to inspire others to create right in their city. I hope that I can share my work and have the impact that it has on others to inspire them to be themselves, spark creativity, and a drive in them that they did not know they had.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I stopped selling to my potential customers and starting letting my work speak for itself. I started a routine regime and posted what I was selling consistently. I asked customers who did purchase my products to either tag me or leave a customer review. A lot of consumers generally come from reading reviews and the experience other customers have had. My advice to those who are new would be to stay consistent, provide value, and always interact with your customers so they will gain trust.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I sent out monthly emails with perks, continuous interaction on social media with my customers, and I also offer any additional assistance with any other questions related to my niche.
