Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tanesha Halstead. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tanesha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
In March of 2019 I founded Virtually Centered Solutions (VCS). At the time, I knew I did not want to have the company be under my name, Tanesha Halstead. I wanted it to have it’s only identity. When I put that in perspective, what came to mind was 3 things:
➡️Virtually is for the virtual based business being created.
➡️Centered represents the energy of harmony I want the brand to give off.
➡️Solutions is for the services we provide small business owners to eliminate overwhelm.
From there, VCS was born and the journey began. I had no idea that years later, that would allow me to build a company brand while simultaneously building my personal brand.

Tanesha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University (Teaneck Campus) and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
I have always had a passion for the blend of business and technology. More the concept of delving into the business process to uncover the problems and finding technical solutions for them.
Many may not know this but Virtually Centered Solutions started as this single mother’s dream to create extra income on a flexible schedule to not sacrifice my boys being able to participate in their extra-curriculum activities. When founded, Virtually Centered Solutions LLC (VCS), originally focused on general virtual assistance to provide a supportive hand to small business owners. During that time, clients were acquired where I was able to get hands on experience.
However, being a life long learner and professional development junkie, I invested in training courses and business coaching. I quickly realized what lit me up was operations, automation, and how when pieced together it can create this well oiled machine. That led to the pivot of the company offerings to CRM & Automation Consulting; along with becoming a Keap (formerly Infusionsoft) Certified Partner for Small Business Owners.
Most small businesses often don’t realize they need this service. I share the value it brings from the mindset of understanding their needs.
⫸ From starting my own small business
⫸ Being a startup and doing it all on my own
⫸ Not having the time to manage a complicated advertising campaign
⫸ Too busy running the business, while figuring out how
⫸ How hard it is for them to even adapt to new tools
Over the years, I have been fortunate to build a small but powerful team that believe in the vision of VCS. I am only as strong as the support they provide from their zones of genius. Currently, we specialize in helping entrepreneurs save time and overwhelm by using automation. Some benefits our clients have been able to experience is:
✅ Feeling more organized when getting ready to start building their team
✅ Creating a customer journey to increase sales
✅ Getting more leads to grow their business.
This in turn allows them to gain time to spend with family and friends, on their health, or things that matter the most.
Through educational content and consulting services, we teach our audience how business automation creates consistent people centric connections, less overwhelm in their day to day operations, and scalable business growth.
Some of the things that set us apart as a company is the technical expertise we provide, our thorough communication in making sure we are on the same page, and giving a personable touch to aide comfortability with delegating your small business needs.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Get into my rollercoaster of life in 2021 🎢(whew, chile!). My life was the real-life ” Flushed Away” (A pretty funny kids’ movie if you haven’t watched it). Well, that’s exactly how I felt when Hurricane Ida caused my boys and I to be displaced.
We got angry & we cried but just like the movie we found the best placement within family and friends (who showed up & out!). This time forced me to take a step back and reevaluate my time value with everything!
Fast Forward ➡️
It’s like God said, ” Hold on, I got you, “… (doesn’t he always?!). 🙏
✔️ Still working on a simple good-fit schedule
🌿 Refocusing on my health
🦶🏽 Taking steps to systemize my life and business.
I still get emotional but talk about stretching and rebuilding. I had a choice then to say pack up the business but I paused my coaching for a period and came back slowly as I did the work to heal.
Praying and sending love to those who were affected. For some the journey to rebuild is still happening 🙏🏾
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
My advice for managing a team and maintaining high morale would be:
#1 Take the time to create a bare bone outline of the role you are expecting the team member to fill. Think from the perspective of onboarding a client, bringing on a team member into chaos is not a great experience. This outline can be fluid, do not get hung up on things being perfect. It can be done simply in an Excel or Google Sheet. We currently share a process mapping template in our Introduction to Business Automation course and use it internally.
#2 Utilize a project management tool to delegate tasks in a centralized place. This allows you to get detailed and include links to how to documents or videos. We currently use ClickUp to assign tasks, communicate on completing projects, input quick links for reference, and so much more!
#3 Create a value journey for your team where they can feel supported which leads into being empowered to take action. Consider what excites them and how you can continue to over love them. I currently have a favorite things questionnaire new hires complete that allows me to get to know them better and be able to surprise them with ongoing incentives around their interests.
