Taneisha , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

I fell in love with photography as a teen. Once I had gotten married and experienced life, it motivated me to begin my photography business but I just didn’t want to have the standard photography services. I wanted it to be an experience, a true LOVE experience. I can remember times in life where I didn’t feel loved or didn’t receive love as I desired. I then started to look around and see how the world was operating off hate and no love at times. After almost 2 years into my business I decided that I would use this business solely to bring love to others in my hometown Memphis,TN and for anyone I’d service that I would love on them as a friend, family or someone close would. Share the love that GOD has for us all. I wanted to be representation to my clients that LOVE still exists & is strong and mighty just like our GOD. I want to cheer you on, I want to hype you up, I want to support and root for them genuinely . This business was no longer a transaction for me but it became a MOVEMENT. Where love is given, celebrated & captured with TaNacious Photography!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am Taneisha Horton a Wedding, Engagement & Lifestyle Branding photographer of Memphis, TN , born and raised, South Memphis to be exact! I am truly a lover girl and believes that everything or anyone I encounter is bound to feel it. I start my photography business in January of 2020 and the rest is history. This company leads with love and compassion for all and provides a safe space to love freely while capturing life’s most memorable moments.

I specialize in Wedding , Engagement, Family and Lifestyle Branding photography solely. I am passionate about these 4 categories of photography because I feel that I am able to connect with these clients and offer styling, posing, creative direction, & of course to SHOWER them with a “tenacious” love but photography style! Most clients love that I have an eye for angels, close up shots, and breathe taking candid photos. I truly livvveee for this! I always put myself in the clients shoes and aim for a sweet experience because 9/10 at the end of each session we have become friends and even family! Also I help to provide my clients with creative options to make their experiences even better. On top of it all, my loving energy always puts my clients at ease. They are safe to SHINE & be LOVED!

I am most proud that I have had the opportunity to capture 20 wedding as of today! 20 WEDDINGSSS!!! YES, & I don’t plan on stopping there! I’m truly grateful that couples find me and we connect on another level , that it never feels like business but a friend or part of the family capturing their special day!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I would have to say my energy and personality. I’ve had sooooo many clients and even supporter compliment me and say “Your energy is so beautiful “ or “I just love your energy, I have to work with you “ I am sooooo grateful to know that this is how I am viewed because honestly THIS IS WHO I AM! I think that once others see how I am and how I engage with others , it breaks down any wall and they are free to be themselves and know that their experience with TaNacious will be valuable and one to remember.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Honestly, word or month has been my best strategy of receiving new clients. I mean, social media has helped as well but most clients I’ve serviced always come from someone telling them about my services and they just fall in love!
