Tammy, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission in my industry is to make functional and strength training important as we age. I don”t want to be just your average trainer that just makes you sweat. My mission is to make you more functional in life. I want people to workout for a purpose. Tammy’s Fitness Lab, strive on mobility and stability.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got started in the fitness industry in my late 30’s. My trainer at the time ask me if I ever thought about being a trainer, honestly, I laughed. I never dreamed that I could be a trainer. I am very personable and love getting to know their story. Fast forward, 3 years, I lost my mom. Life became really short after that. I decided to open my own personal training studio. I now have 3 other trainers that work in my studio. We offer one on one and small group classes. The lab in tailored to clients that don’t like to go to big box gyms, it has a very intimate setting. We also offer our infrared sauna, we stretch and also Thergun each client after they complete their workout.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Keeping in touch with my clients through social media. I have develop close relationships with my clients, they all feel comfortable to reach out to me anytime.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth and social media seems to be the best way so far.
