Tammy D., thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

I would say the most meaningful project that I’ve worked on as a creative would be the collaboration book that I was a part of .the title is A Love Story Volume Two My Journey to Love, and I have one chapter titled “The Love I found, and it talks about the love that I found for myself after many many years of Self-doubt low self-esteem self hate due to a very violent past.

The reason this is my most important project because I am very transparent, and I put myself out there for others to read and be inspired by and be motivated to continue regardless of what it is they went through. I received such a positive response and so many people telling me that they can identify with my story in Because of my story they feel that they can pursue different avenues in life

Tammy D., before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I began as a model. I signed with the Lyngale Agency, which is a modeling and Talent agency for talent over the age of 40.
As I began to hone my craft in the modeling industry by taking classes and studying online and participating in fashion shows and becoming more confident and what else I was doing, I then took the chance and went into some acting, and then as I grew in acting and met different people. I actually came across a publisher who was publishing the book series and that is when I decided to tell my story because at that time I felt like it needed to be told, and it was something that I needed to do to release myself from what I had gone through in the past. From there, I began doing speaking engagements podcast. Interviews and I eventually came across the opportunity to have my own podcast..
The name of my podcast is the Tammy D Taylor show and it features women who are inspiring, whose goal is to empower others and they tell their stories and I’m very fortunate to be able to have my mission put on another platform for others to see.
I am also the CEO and founder of The Weight We Carry women’s initiative Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focusing on the empowerment of women through education through job training through counseling and serve as a resource to help women move to the next level of whatever it is that they need to do.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

There was a time when I looked in the mirror and didn’t like who I saw. The pain of past traumas, especially surviving a violent relationship, left me feeling unworthy and broken. Even after leaving, the scars ran deep, and self-doubt consumed me.

But I refused to stay in that dark place. Through counseling, self-reflection, and determination, I rebuilt my confidence and learned to see my true worth. Now, my mission is to help other women do the same—to recognize their beauty inside and out.

If I can rise from the ashes, so can they. And together, we will.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Yes, my mission is to empower women to embrace self-love, build self-confidence, and recognize their worth, inside and out. Through my own journey of overcoming trauma and self-doubt, I’ve learned that true beauty comes from within—and when a woman sees her own value, it radiates outward.

My creative journey is driven by the desire to inspire and uplift others, helping them break free from negative self-perceptions, past wounds, and societal pressures. Whether through storytelling, speaking, fashion, or advocacy, my goal is to be a voice of encouragement and transformation.

I want women to know: You are enough. You are worthy. You are beautiful—just as you are.
