Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tamia Caldwell . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tamia , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
I have met so many genuine people along this journey and I’ve experienced many kind moments . My most recent unforgettable (kind) moment happened in Cabo . I was laying out on the beach and a native offered me some homemade burritos . Unfortunately I had used up the cash I had on me and I only had card/money apps . He told me he only takes cash, but still wanted to give me some burritos. I told him many times no , but he would not take no for answer . After several minutes we were both eating burritos and chatting . Without me saying a word he mentioned the city I lived in and said he loves it there so this interaction seemed like fate to me . Cabo is currently my favorite place and the people I met along that trip made my trip spectacular not the activities I did . Cabo taught me to be more grateful and to appreciate little moments .
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Mia and I am a content creator . I go to school while attempting to travel the world . I have a YouTube channel dedicated to my trips and an entire instagram page full of different beaches . Some activities I’ve done are swam with turtles , jumped from cliffs , parasailed , horseback riding , and helicopter rides . My favorite trips have been Hawaii and Cabo, Mexico . On the side I partner with different swimsuit brands ,host and model .
I’m most proud of being able to travel the world in my 20s and convincing other young people to do it too .
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part about all of this ..is being able to do what I love for a living . I get to do what I want and I’m happy while doing it . I also get to network with other creative people and I’m able to meet new people . I’ve been Connecting with likeminded people and this has gotten me into doors/ more opportunities I would not have been able to get if I didn’t step outside of the box .
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think society has to do whatever that particular artist is asking of you . Rather that be to stream more music , like their pictures /repost , share/like their YouTube videos or reels . I think it depends, but all support is good support . I know for me I have the sweetest/funniest people that support me . I’ve gotten plenty of dm messages of my pictures being their lock screens that’s support ! I also know that everytime I needed to get a message across my community on social media has had my back by reposting , sharing , commenting , etc .
