Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tami Norris. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tami, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I have been crafting for many many years. I tried several different mediums from crochet and knitting , to Jewelry, and soaps. while they may work for others the medium that worked best for me, was in fact Resin art.
I went through several failed projects was on the verge of giving up then found the process that worked for me! I made one good piece someone bought it. I was thrilled then several more pieces were made, those all sold and here we are! The start of Tami Norris Designs.
As we all know 2020 was a great time to stay at home and craft. So I guess that’s what started this adventure. Lots of Practice, hard work, focus, patience, and determination.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi there! I am Tami creator of Tami Norris Designs.
I touched on how I got into my line of artwork in the introduction.
Here’s a bit more detail of what I make.
I am a resin artist. For those that do not know resin is a chemical medium. It is all poured by hand.
The items I make vary from
Coasters, tea light holders, trinket dishes, dragons, game boards,( like checkers, chess, custom dominoes, mahjong, scrabble, Dungeons and Dragons dice etc) custom jars, spiritual gift items and so much more.
As stated I make several Items custom which leads to you picking colors and themes you want for your piece. Now with that said custom takes a little more time than normal. So I try to maintain direct communication with the client.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
It started slowly for me. I had a friend suggest I go try out TikTok And show my progress on live. Now at first I was very scared because I didn’t think I had what it took to do live events but I started posting what I did in short videos and suddenly it took off! I go live with up to 500 people watching my videos. Yes with social media you have to be able to take criticism so I have learned not to let it bother me. My best advice is Have patience, keep posting don’t give up!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I do vendor events. I have a bit of a following there because I’m at the same events every week.
