Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to TAMERA FOLEY. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
TAMERA, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission of Education 4 All Now is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful to Dr. Foley, who has dedicated over 40 years to fighting for children in the educational arena. Her journey began when she empathetically witnessed the struggles of children who lacked advocates, especially those from underserved communities. “ I realized that many parents needed to be aware of their rights or more resources to support their children’s educational needs effectively.”
Driven by a passion for justice and equity, Dr. Foley took it upon herself to educate parents about the laws and resources available, empowering them to advocate for their children. “I firmly believe in the transformative power of education and that every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to succeed. This belief is at the core of her mission and is what drives my relentless advocacy.”
Her mission is a professional endeavor and a heartfelt commitment to making a significant difference in the lives of children who face significant challenges. “Through my books and the information she shares, I continue to spread knowledge and hope, ensuring that the fight for every child’s right to quality education remains relentless and profoundly impactful, inspiring others to join the cause.
My mission is deeply meaningful to because she has seen the profound effects of advocacy and education on children’s lives.” She understands that mental health, self-awareness, and social-emotional learning are critical components of success both in school and in life. Her dedication stems from a deep-seated belief in the potential of every child, instilling hope and a commitment to breaking down the barriers that prevent them from achieving their dreams. Her work has made a tangible difference in the lives of many children, underscoring the importance of her mission.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
“My journey into the educational field was ignited by a profound commitment to making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities. With over four decades of experience, primarily worked in Title I schools within urban districts, where I have held various leadership roles, each offering her the opportunity to advocate for underrepresented students.
One of my significant accomplishments was spearheading the establishment of a school-based health center in a large urban district. Dr. Foley recognized that many children were missing school due to lacking vaccinations and access to quality healthcare. Collaborating with a dedicated team of registered nurses, community doctors, and administrators, each playing a crucial role in addressing this critical issue. The nurses and doctors provided their expertise and care, while the healthcare administrators facilitated the logistics and funding. Together, they pushed for the creation of the health center, which became a beacon of hope and support for many students.” To ensure the center was welcoming and student-friendly, schools contributed artwork showcasing the talents of their students.
Dr. Foley also tirelessly worked with school administrators to shift the approach from punitive measures to understanding and addressing students’ social and emotional needs. Understanding the root causes of misbehavior was essential to creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Her collaboration with psychologists and social workers further strengthened her advocacy for students, as she educated parents on available resources and their children’s rights.
Beyond her administrative and advocacy work, Dr. Foley continues to impact the community through her writing and volunteering efforts with her sorority. “My books serve as valuable resources for parents, educators, and advocates, providing insights and practical strategies for supporting students’ educational and emotional needs. These strategies range from creating a supportive home environment to understanding and addressing students’ social and emotional needs in the school setting.” She remains deeply committed to laying a solid foundation in literacy for future generations, recognizing that children are the priority.
What sets Dr. Foley and Education 4 All Now apart is their unwavering dedication to ensuring every child has access to quality education and the support they need to succeed. What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission, driving my creative journey, is to lower the rate of illiteracy and ensure that the needs of all children are met, especially their social and emotional needs, mental health, and food security. Working with children from all communities to level the playing field has been my motivation. I want children to have the means to think, dream, and have hope for their future. Books, journals, and meaningful conversations are crucial in helping children heal. By providing avenues for children to express themselves through poetry, art, critical questions, and conversations, I aim to support them on their journey to becoming well-rounded and hopeful individuals. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of children.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being creative is the profound connection I forge with the experiences and journeys of others. Your stories, narratives, paths, mistakes, and triumphs inspire me and fill me with a sense of humility and empathy. Through these shared human experiences, I gain valuable insight, which keeps me grounded and deeply aware of the diverse tapestry of life.
Every story I hear, every book I read, and every piece of research I read fuels my imagination and enriches my understanding of the world. These encounters inspire me to craft stories that resonate on a deeper level, teaching lessons, sparking inspiration, and instilling hope. I am committed to creating narratives that reflect the strength and resilience of the human spirit, offering comfort and encouragement to those who engage with my work.
Knowing that my creative endeavors can touch lives is incredibly fulfilling, providing a sense of connection and understanding. The process of transforming others’ experiences into stories that teach and inspire not only enhances my own life but also creates a ripple effect of positivity and hope. This is what drives me as a creative—knowing that through my work, I can contribute to a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and inspired to dream, and where my work can uplift and inspire others.
