We recently connected with Tamara Tribble M.Ed. and have shared our conversation below.
Tamara , appreciate you joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
I wish I had started my business earlier because I learned that we will not get rich punching the clock. Real wealth is tied to entrepreneurship! This is especially true for minorities in America.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I grew up in Detroit, MI. To say I had a tough upbringing is an understatement! I knew from an early age that education was a positive force to change people’s lives. I began teaching in 2002. I have taught in charter, public, private, and international school settings. I have served in many roles including Center Director and Regional Manager. I am a self-published author. After becoming a certified Educational Diagnostician, I decided it was time to strike out on my own and open Heavenly Palms, LLC. I have dedicated my life to helping the most vulnerable learners achieve academic success.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I routinely take pictures or record sessions and upload them on Heavenly Palms, LLC’s social media accounts. I think it is important to show parents the evidence-based practices used and highlight how much fun students have learning with us. Build your presence online by always keeping your phone handy!
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I have worked hard and saved over the years to start my business. I invest. Financial literacy was very foreign to me. Too many minorities are stuck in survival. The first step is creating a budget and opening high-yield saving accounts. Start investing! Penny stocks are great for beginners.
